Don’t get too attached to the wolves. There are much better summons in the game. I would suggest bumping up your INT and Faith to use the Sword of Night and Flame. It’s a fantastic weapons that has 2 completely different powerful abilities. Also the dragon that disappeared on you will reappear for a final round if you progress far enough in Ranni’s quest line. I’d also encourage you to do Ranni’s quest line even apart from getting another round with that dragon as there are multiple benefits, but it is not necessary to completing the main quest line so it can be missed.
