Just like all videos about meal cost. Whether it's Sorted, Mythical kitchen, Gordon Ramsay. If you take out the cost of the alcohol. The price usually drops by a quarter sometimes even a half. Being both religious and allergic means I can probably make Jamie's dish for $100 less.

i was hoping for something really extravagant with the unlimited budget, like A5 wagyu wellington with truffles and caviar lol. but venison is probably more interesting!

Are you ever gonna post the live pass it ons later for those of use who can’t budget to pay to watch it live? I mean it could be months later and give y’all more revenue from the basic watches.

Bay leaves add nothing only if you like them cause trust me. A dish can just see a bay leaf ni passing and I'll eat it VERY begrudgingly. They're poisonous and my body apparently knows it very well and would really rather do without them XD

I like to par boil my potatoes, heat a tray with butter in the oven, chuck in rosemary thyme and garlic give the tattys a good toss in the mixture and about half way through smash slightly and cook out for the remainder. Works with new potato's too as a cozy snack, get yourself a bowl of dipping gravy 💪

I used to think bay leaves didn't do much because, let's face it, most people have 10yr old jar of dried leaves.. Many years ago one of my patients gave me a shopping bag full of branches of fresh bay leaves from her garden & we shared it throughout the office. Once I tasted fresh bay, my mind was blown. I now have a plant myself, but can even pick up the taste when dried leaves are used in a dish. I now love bay leaves & use it in many dishes.

As someone who doesn't eat a lot of vegetables, Ben's tips make them sound amazing! I've been trying to switch to more vegetarian meals for better nutrition and budget. I'm watching the video for a second time so I can write down some tips!

You used meatglue, some experiments with it would be quite interesting, would love to see the reaction of the normals to a "frankensteak" a steak made out of different meats glued together, venesion, cow, pork, chicken, lamb, etc.

I'm wondering if you guys can have a food challenge of coming up with dishes that are GERD friendly? The baked onions and marmalade cranberry sauce in this episode sounds so good but unfortunately are bad for me due to all the acid in them. This also goes for fresh garlic (unless frozen beforehand), tomatoes, lemons, oranges, chocolate, fatty meats, and egg yolks. This also applies to anything extremely fried.
    Thanks!

How can people not taste bay leaves? That's odd to me. Because they are so strong it must be an anomaly in one's pallette to not be able to taste it. Not even the aroma?

Sorry guys but the roulade was raw and judging from Jamey's look after he cut it, he knew it. I'm not even sure if the sausage meat is done, I used my sous-vide several times and 2 hours at 58 degrees will not reach the centre.

I’m watching this from the tropics in Australia and the English Christmas food is completely juxtaposed to ours of salads, prawns, bbq, ham, basically anything that doesn’t need cooking inside!

Another banger video, not just a Christmas video, but a banger video in general. I can't stop watching them getting the food ready at the end, part of it due to the song being stuck in my head. You guys will do amazing at the live event tomorrow at the time of this comment going up.
