Love this recipe! Nothing better than a totally decadent cookie! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!. I did but let me tell you that this old lady was exhausted by the time it was over! Thank goodness my 13 y.o Granddaughter stayed and did a ton of cleaning up after.

And yes it would be a surprise seeing it them come out.. yummm. Oh yeah I guess chopping it up and spreading it evenly would be better ^_^

LeAnne, what a great recipe! I will definitely be making these for our family cookie exchange in a few weeks. We get together to celebrate the season, enjoy the company and exchange cookies. Each time a new cookie is discovered, we print out a dozen or so recipe cards to put beside the cookie tray. I know yours will be a hit. These look delish! You can buy caramel bits in the baking aisle at grocery stores – so no unwrapping and chopping of caramels. They are great in cookies.
