looks great, but arranging the pecans on top without being submerged dries them out too much. may be personal choice though, so maybe that's just my pet peeve.
Made this tonight for the family. Was an instant hit!! We forgot to grab regular chocolate chips so ended up using peanut butter chips and turned out amazing!

My birthday is coming up in a bit over a month…screw cake, I'm making myself this for my birthday.
Without first trying the recipe, I would put some more chocolate in your second layer in other words make the second layer the same as the first. However having said that when I do make this I will do it exactly the way you did then decide if I need to tweek it.
That's a great-looking dessert. But that would be more on the pie side of things definitely not a cobbler by definition. Have to be made with fruit and have a cake like crust

Toast the pecans first.
Melt that chocolate and use 1/2 unsweetened 1/2 milk. Cool it a touch and mix that into the egg/sugar/butter mix and it will be more uniform and it will be chef’s kiss.
