In today’s video, Im trying out a new recipe from an old church cookbook. I’m making a 4 layer dessert called Chocolate Delight.

    Boy does this bring back memories. My mom would make this as a summer dessert for picnics and barbecues. People absolutely LOVED this.

    It can also be made gluten-free (substitute the flour with a 1:1 GF flour) and plant-based (substitute the dairy ingredients with non-dairy ingredients, and that includes using a plant-based pudding mix). I’ve also seen this recipe using pretzels (regular or gluten free) instead of nuts for people allergic to nuts, and it was still good.

    OMG you just brought back a great memory for me Valerie!!! My Grandma made this for us growing up and I LOVE LOVED It!! I literally have not had in 30 years!! Probably because I was never quite sure How she made it! Now I know!

    Wow, this chocolate delight looks great! The effect of moving your hand over the pecan bowl was nice!
    Pushing down the crust with some plastic film was a good idea!
    Like I said, that turned out great. The bit of chopped up chocolate bar on top was perfect. Thanks for sharing!
