I think a graham cracker, melted butter with a few teaspoons of white sugar pressed with the chopped nuts would be a better option for the crust.
How much powder sugar, how much flour
Boy does this bring back memories. My mom would make this as a summer dessert for picnics and barbecues. People absolutely LOVED this.
It can also be made gluten-free (substitute the flour with a 1:1 GF flour) and plant-based (substitute the dairy ingredients with non-dairy ingredients, and that includes using a plant-based pudding mix). Iβve also seen this recipe using pretzels (regular or gluten free) instead of nuts for people allergic to nuts, and it was still good.

next time try mixing with a fork think you may have just gotten it too creamy.
NOTE: Powder sugar not needed. Makes it excessively sweet. Otherwise delicious!

I have my Momma's recipe for chocolate delight but I think her crust is graham crackers. I need to find it. Good idea on grating the chocolate bar on top. π

This looks delicious! I used to make it regularly, and I used instant butterscotch pudding occasionally! I have also seen people use pistachio or lemon instant puddings.
OMG you just brought back a great memory for me Valerie!!! My Grandma made this for us growing up and I LOVE LOVED It!! I literally have not had in 30 years!! Probably because I was never quite sure How she made it! Now I know!
