39 years ago this month, literally, my first week as a wife, I made my husband our Texas version of chili cornbread dish and he had never had it. He loved it sooooo much he said, "can you make this every day?" Well.. sure……fast forward two weeks and he asks, "do you know how to cook anything else?" Well yeah but you told me you wanted this every day. 😂😂😂 edited: 39 years later he has a gourmet class chef as a wife. We are growing Trepadeira Werner peppers this summer and they are freaking amazing. Nice tropical flavor and nice tingly tongue burn but not nearly as viscious as the habanero.

Absolutely do not believe that young man when he says anything good about milk and chili peppers. Not only will it your stomach bring you to your knees, you may just end up calling 911. For proof I refer you to any episode of #HotOnes. Of course, these gents are using "only" 50,000 Scoville peppers. #HotOnes goes way beyond that.

I really enjoy this series, Paul! This particular dish is very interesting. I make a tamale pie recipe that is similar to your dish, which I first made back in the late 1980s. I will try your version. Can't wait!
    Best wishes from Michigan, USA!

My husband will eat peppers and be sweating like crazy and tell me they are good…no thanks! Being in Texas we do like our spicy foods but if my food causes pain, I am not eating it!😂
