If you use the Ninja you can crisp the top.
Going to make dinner
That looked so good and easy. The biscuits were browned but they were fully cooked. Another great recipe to try in the pressure cooker. I make mine in the oven with bisquick on top. Always appreciate an easier recipe.
Good dinner
Made ours tonight in a power pressure xl and it turned out great!
You look so much better with your hair short, makes you look younger too! Love the videos!!
This was really good, but haven't made it in a while.
Nice! Thanks for showing how🥧can’t wait to try it😊
Love your recipes and how you present them. You are like me have fun in the kitchen! Cream of chicken soup can tip: if the bottom of the can be opened like the top of the can,……..open topic using an electric can opener turn can over a bowl and open bottom. Push the lid towards the top…….clean the wall of the can as lid is being pushed through. Love to do the same with tomato past. Keep on gettin’ your cook on my man!👏🏻🤟🏻👌🏻🤙🏻👍🏻
I'm trying this in the Ninja Foodi pressure cooker and air fryer… so I can brown the tops … would love to see how you would use one! 🙂
💖👍
ok since I live in Australia and we dont have what you call biscuits here what exactly is it ?? is it bread dough ?
Delicous……
Maybe a pot in a pot method would make it easier to get it out?
I would call this chicken 'n dumplin's; regardless, you deserve a food blog Emmy for this.
Jim
I'm definitely making this
Another winner Rick! Made this tonight. I had about can of leftover chicken broth from another meal, and used that instead of all water. About the only thing I'd do different next time would be to add seasoning. Best dumplings ever, I've never had chicken so tender and moist, and it was certainly comfort food! The wife says I can keep cooking! Thank again!
we are full time rv'ers an always looking for quick dinners ,using the pressure cooker . made this tonight it was great hubby said it is a keeper thank you sue
I finally made the recipe I can't wait to eat some I'm making it now
that's chicken and Northern dumplings. if you want Southern dumplings use two boxes the Frozen or refrigerated double pie crust so you'll have for pie crusts and cut them into squares. this looks extremely yummy. 🙂
Ha! I am making this tonight .
that looks so good I can't wait to get some stuff and make it
No salt or pepper?
Hey rick I am new to pressure cookering (is that a word :)) I would like to put fresh chicken, rice and cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, and cream of celery soup all together. How much water would you add and how long would you cook it?
I've gotta say, you're not afraid to try anything in your pressure cooker. You're my hero. I've learned from you that there is nothing to fear about them. You have great ideas and recipes. We enjoy trying your recipes!
can you put biscuits on the bottom as well as on the top?
and that's what's for dinner tonight
I saw this made on an infomercial for the Power Pressure Cooker 10 Qt and also see Rick making it, too. Love your pressure cooker videos, Rick! You're so hilarious and fun to watch! 😂 Love the step by step of how you cook! I have an INSTANT POT and wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING! Anyway, I've made this chicken pot pie in it, almost like Rick did, with the raw biscuits on top and my husband loved it! It is super easy, fast and awesome! Thanks for all your videos, Rick! Keep'em comin' and God bless ya! 😁
I love this video so much. Got a good giggle because it's not a cheesy staged shot. Just a real life guy teaching me how to cook in my new pressure cooker! This is going to be our dinner tomorrow, so I haven't tried it yet. So glad to see it's doable! The directions that came with the gadget are awfully vague, so this definitely clears up a few things for me. Thanks for the video!!
made the chicken pot pie in my press cooker just like your video showed, this is better than any i bought in the store {thank you}
loved your video, cant wait to try this!! God Bless
O/ 3 Cheers to You!
Yummy! Looks Great will have to try this for sure! 3 Cheers to us
awsome rick im gonna have to try chicken pot pie I been making lots macarroni and cheese like my own hamburber helper just to get the hang of it cant wait to try my ribs gonna try with coke cool when you throw napkin heads up 🙂
I only have a stove top PC, how long should I cook it for?
I tried this today, it's very easy, but tastes more like Chicken and Dumplings, almost, I think next time I'll do it all in the pressure cooker, except the biscuits, I would bake them in the oven, and simply place over the chicken pot, giving it a nice a crisp texture and taste.
Making it right now 😃 thanks Rick!!!!
Just made this for lunch, and everyone thought it was great! Thanks for posting!
Hmm, I wonder if you could put the bowl in the oven for a few minutes to brown the biscuits a little. Looks yum!
We can't get the biscuit things in Australia wonder what else I could use ?
next time I make this recipe, which is a great recipe, I'll try those 'flat dumplings' by Anna's. I'll let u know how they turn out.
Thanks for that advice Rick. I then thought about "Ann's Old Fashioned 'Flat' Dumplings" (Thin Pastry Strips) to spread out on top of everything in the pressure cooker, then cooking it. It comes in a sheet, and you just tear off each piece (flat dumplings). What do you think of that idea?
Rick, tell me what you think of this: instead of using the 'grands' biscuits, what about mixing up some pancake batter, or Bisquick, with milk & egg, then pouring and spreading that mix evenly on top of everything placed in the pressure cooker? Then cooking for 10 mins or so, like you said.
I did try your recipe using the grands biscuits, and it came out 'perfect', but I had a lot of the 'pot pie' left over and no biscuits. (I ate them all because they were so good w/the pot pie).
Please tell me what you think of my idea. Thanx.

i am keeping your tutorials. i am retired, but i am an awful cook. now–gettin' better! thanks
This definitely on my list to try.
the bisquits look like they are not cooked..but they are..tastes like dumplings. I cut up the chicken after I cooked it. Cut easily!!! Good recipe!
I made this tonight!!! It was soooo good!!! I had it for dinner and 6 lunch sizes for work this week!
are the biscuits gummy? They look as though they might be. Thanks. I really do enjoy your videos.
