King of Queens!! LOVE that show! It's hilarious.
Do you share your exact measurements for recipes?
Looks really good have you ever tried better than bullion ck flavor sooo good
I absolutely love cooking breads! Its actualy becausw of your easy no fail crusty bread that i gained the confidence to try. I made your rolls yesterday (delicious)and making a vegan basil and garlic focaccia tonight. I am very happy about soup recipes. It's been cold here, at least for us, and hot soup is perfect dinner! Definitely ganna give both a go. Probably the tomato one first! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Tomato soup is my fav but I have not tried making it homemade. Looked delicious. As for carrots & celery…I love them both cooked by not raw. Great video once again my friend.
I love carrots and celery too. They’re so refreshing.
Bread actually has never been my favorite – I know that’s so unusual. You’re inspiring me to try making some though 🙂
Soup is always a good idea. Thanks for all your amazing videos Miranda, your recipes are always really fun and original – happy one week until Christmas!!💓
One, tomato soup is my favorite. Never had it with beans before, gotta try it. Two, I love celery. I always eat it at restaurants and my mom laughs saying I'm "filling up on garnish." 🤣. And three, that's so cool making the chiki soup. I actually wanted to try making it like that because I really dislike chicken noodle soup but thought adding chickpeas would help. Thanks for the new recipe to try.
King of queens? He says on-ion-ione slot.
Thank you for sharing. These all look delicious. I'm going to try making that bread gluten free. Have you ever tried that?
For anyone who may not be aware, I believe most multi cooker / instant pots can be used the same as a slow cooker with a timer. And I've not tried this but if you like me and like so see what you're "slow cooking" you can use a normal pot lid as it doesn't need to come to pressure. I love a good minestrone soup. 🙂 My fav recipe is the Jamie Oliver one if you interested in looking it up. I think it's called happy frumpy minestrone. 🙂
You are an inspiration!
Yay for celery! It used to be my favorite vegetable as a kid, but now that I am plant-based I love them all! Just have to figure out how you like them prepped. You have been such an inspiration on my plant-based journey. Thanks for what you do! Hope you have a Merry Christmas🙏👼👼
from mrs: really enjoy your crockpot recipes! i love celery too! great vid
Your tomato soup looks amazing! My current favorites right now are creamy broccoli, and kale potato & leek soup with white beans. I'm making both in my crockpot this week, along with salad and homemade bread. I love snow because I can make all the soup every day!
I love celery too!!! Thank you for the inspiration, I’m going to make the noodle soup tonight.
I enjoy making soups. These look wonderful.
I want to try to make bread in the crockpot. Thanks!
If you are ever in a rush and have a vitamix you can make soup in your blender you can run longer it will puree and cook your soup.
I am so excited to make your tomato soup! i’m wondering about broccoli cheese soup, could you use nutritional yeast to get the cheese flavor? i would love to see you make that. Thank you for making all of your recipes look so easy.
Our oven is unpredictable. I set it at 475° and the oven thermometer we bought to test it reads 350°. But 425 reads close to the same temp. Go figure. But this will be great when I get a crock-pot. My favorite soup is cheesy potato broccoli. Of course wfpb. I'd love to see your take on it.
I have quartz countertops. Not sure if they would crack but, I put my instant pot/anything that gets hot on top of my gas stove too! Not willing to risk it.
This isn’t a soup but I would love a chicken less and dumplings. Growing up the was my favorite meal but going plant based I can’t make is the same. Any ideas would be great! Love your videos. ❤
Split pea!
Black bean soup sounds delish
Definitely trying the chicky soup! Thank you, and your look amazing in orange 😍 Jealous! I love orange and can't pull it off 💔
Your first recipe is so similar to a UK recipe I found a few years back. It's a simple lunch idea, and since it's UK the recipe calls for "tins" 😀of tomato, carrots, white beans (or baked beans – in the UK they are not sweet like in the US). I believe the recipe is a 2:1:1 ratio and is easily blended because everything is already cooked.
Tomato soup sounds so good! Love the addition of white beans.
And that gold sweater on you😍
Favorite soup right now🤔… lasagna soup with red lentils and tofu ricotta.
Can you do a matzoh ball soup recipe?
Traditionally it's done with chicken fat in the ball recipe but that's obviously not vegan. We always saute in salt and pepper(1 cup each) finely diced onions, medium chopped celery, and carrots at the bottom of the huge pot first. Add 8 cups of broth after that with 2-3cups of chicken (which would have to be what, idk, tofu, tempeh, seitan, …chickpeas? Lol) then drop the prerefrigerated matzoh balls in the soup.
I always used to make the matzoh balls with 6 cups matzoh meal (can use unsalted saltines/oyster crackers crushed finely instead), 3 eggs(flax meal probably best alternative binder and slightly extra matzoh meal, 3 tbs chicken fat("chicken" flavored avocado or vegan butter replacement?), salt, pepper, onion powder and that gets refrigerated for at least an hour or overnight. Formed into balls ( better to do ahead of time) then dropped in boiled soup turned down to simmer, let simmer 45min-70min.
I’m obsessed with baking bread and it all started because of you a couple years ago. I started out with the no knead rustic bread with the turned over bread pan on top… and over the years I’ve gotten a Dutch oven and advanced to baking it all, all the way to sourdough artisan loafs.
Good Saturday morning Miranda. Every one of those soups looks absolutely delicious – the perfect warm supper for a Saturday. My favorite soup is homemade Crab, with lots of backfin and lump meat locally sourced from the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks for sharing your frugal family dinner ideas and have a wonderful weekend and of course a Merry Christmas. 😊
