Well we are sisters from another mother..Night owl here also..Even when I was a teenager..Stay up to 1 or 2 a.m. and up at 5 a.m…Living on a farm no sleeping in..Our alarm clock in the morning was my dad yelling "All hands on Deck!"..I use to think everyone went to bed at 9 or 10 p.m.. Until I was the one doing most of the OTR night semi-tractor driving..Which took some getting use to..Especially with less traffic,darkness and seeing most homes in sleep mode with no lights on.. One time in the 90's' I went to where we do our home town banking.. About 10:30 or 11:00 a.m.. The one lady working there said to me..You don't get up very early..Kinda made me feel I was good for nothing.. Because I wasn't standing at the bank doors first thing in the morning. Waiting for them to open up.. Not everyone strides to the same drum beat..Your Tator Hot Casserole looks delicious..If Steve refuses to eat it..Tell him I'll relieve him..Lol.. Hi Nina. I've been neglecting my house too lately. I think I'm so bored the the covid virus that to be honest, I don't care. I want to be outside on these pretty days. You're casserole looks like good o'l comfort food. Dried onions are good, but nothing like a good o'l cut up real onion, lol. God Bless, TFS
I make similar tot casserole with sauteed beef, mushroom, onions and celery with cream of mushroom or celery soup. No cheese. Tonight was knockwurst and German potato salad with Apple pie. Used banquet mini pie in microwave. It's a good time saver and pretty good sub for homemade.
I really like this casserole. You bet your boys would be watching those men work. I like cast iron for the same reason. It sure looked pretty coming out of the oven. Have a great day, Nina.

Golly something I have not made for a very long time but sure looked yummy, my daughter loved green beans and she said one time when I was making this Mom put some green beans in it, I did and we always eat it now with the green beans. I usually layer mine in the dish but its so yummy!!

For some reason I can't sleep during normal hours anymore. Night owl here. π¦π Many moons ago I used to work 3rd shift and loved it. Didn't sleep at all last night. Short 1 hour nap today. I usually go to sleep about 4 a.m. or later and then I get up very late. Mom sleeps late so it's OK. Did finally get up around 7 a.m. Maybe I will go to sleep at a normal time tonight. lol π΄
