Thanks for your honesty and sharing your struggle. I did 2.5 years of carnivore and lost some weight several times but bounced off of a set point due to alcohol, stress, binge. I'm knocking on the door again using alternate day fasting, giving up coffee, cheese only with meat, no cream, and no alcohol. It's a lot, but I need to get through this point as I have another 60 pounds to lose. I'm 61 and diabetic for 25 years, but no medicine. Keep at it!

Y’all doing great. It’s a day by day thing. Just think about how long did it take you to get in the situation that you were in, overweight, alcohol, bad health. It took a while for all this to occur and now it’s gonna take time to take it all away. The mental factor I think is the number 1 thing to overcome but with faith and prayer, that can be handled too. It’s like I told a friend of mine when he said his wife was upset that she can’t get back down to her weight before she had their daughter in February and it’s just now April. I told him it took her 9 months to have the child and gain that weight so it’s gonna take time to loose it. Thanks for your videos and being so open to us all. 👍👍

Hang in there guys. You are incredibly brave talking about your short comings on TV. That takes.alot of guts.you are incredibly honest and real that's why I watch your channel. The struggle
Is real that's for sure, it's hard for most, I'm one of them. What I do is don't think of the carnivore diet, as temporary. I do it for blood sugar and general health, so I know it's for the long haul. When I think of it that way it's easier for me to stay on it. You know what will happen if you lose all your weight , and then eat another way the weight will come back. Then I focus on what I have in life and what is accomplished. You guys have a very nice house and where you live is beautiful. I wish I lived where you guys do. Then you have each other. Good luck to you both.

Oh gosh, I appreciate you guys' stuff so much, the good, the bad, the ugly. Y'all keep telling the truth and keepin' it real and you will reach so many people! I can relate with not being able to cut your toenails easily, put your shoes and socks in normally, it totally sucks 😞 I am slowly able to do those things again! Thanks for the heart to heart, we appreciate it. Congratulations to you guys!

The excess weight has to come off completely, no matter what type of food or diet modification that entails, however, now that we understand how fat is stored, we simply have to avoid that type of food consumption.

I think you guys are doing good! I’m not sure if you guys have tried any basic training like push ups and planks, and 10 min walks after meals. I have found that by adding that in to an already low carb diet can drastically change how you look and feel mentally. I’m a newer subscriber so sorry if I’m employing something you may already be doing! Stay positive and every day is a new day!

something that really struck me is that "if you're not growing…you're dying"… so the experience of the different diets that you've tried … you have learned something from it… to make your journey to accomplish your goal to be fit and healthy…easier as you go…meaning there are some diets that are not for you…hopefully this one is the one that works for you…maybe if you feel that if I can just get to a weight that is healthy for me… then I can introduce things that I want in my diet again…but until then…I gotta do what I gotta do…and it works…

You have a big heart Larry! And this time not due to inflamation, thanks to carnivore! (JK!) 😉
This kind of talk about yourself' is very self-less Larry. Many of us here have struggled with the same things and dealt with them all alone. Speaking so openly this way is giving many of us validation and great encouragement! Thank you bruh!

I think you are on the right track getting cleaner and stricter. I know y'all can get there with this and end up never falling off the wagon again. Btw, when is the wedding coming up? I know that motivation is a good one to be using for now!

Our world tries and tries and tries to force all to believe that we should be able to moderate and should want to as well. People dearly love the phrase, "all things in moderation". But it isn't actually true or worthwhile. Once a person understands how bad sugars, grains, alcohols, food additives and/or refined carbs or just carbs are for them they can do better. But sometimes it takes us a long time to get all the way to the understanding of just getting totally off of all of that stuff. I've been working on my health basically all my life (literally) and with successes building on successes at least since age 33. But now at age 51 I know so much more and am going so much lower and stricter about low carb, about high fat, about never cheating on my own health. Well, really, I have been insanely strict for years at a time before. But I just didn't know yet that I needed to get rid of all carbs so of course I was only strict to the level that I knew, to the plan that I was following. Now I am still hoping that I can heal to a really great level and have a great quality of life someday in the future. It is hard living in this broken, fallen world surrounded by "common knowledge" that is actually completely false. But God is good. And there is still hope.

    Addicts are addicts.
    I’m speaking as an addict.
For me, I’m always playing whack-a-mole with my addictions.
But! doing the inner work helps me a lot. AA helps me keep my guard up against resentments. Life Coaching helps me keep facing my life, instead of escaping. Prayer keeps me from thinking only of myself, and reminds me that I don’t have to try to control everything.
    You get the idea.😀
Maybe after the wedding, you two might explore some inner stuff… go to a meditation or prayer retreat… try Pim’s free Craving class, or even do Landmark Forum or something like that to clarify the self limiting stuff that has dragged you off track several times when you were doing so great.

Connection is the antidote to addiction. You sure connected with us today, Brother. 💟💟💟💟💟

Now, watch the Happy Dog Song” on YouTube a few times, and say out loud: It’s gonna be a hap-py, a hap-py day! It’s gonna be a hap hap hap-py day!”
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Take it one day at a time. It’s easy to look back and kick yourself for the past, but that’s just a waste of mental energy—we can’t change the past; learn from it and move on. Some of us, myself included, have abused our bodies for so long that it’s going to take a while to heal. Celebrate the small, daily victories because they add up. 🙏🏻❤️
