I find it easier to core and cross cut the ends then boil the tomatoes.

Why did you not cross cut the bottom of the tomatoโs before the boil bath ??
I dehydrate tomatoes with a little salt, garlic powder and a dash of our New Mexico chili. Itโs like candy. So delicious!

I have wonderful memories of canning with my mother in law in the fall. It was some thing that my mom-in-law and I enjoyed doing together. She passed away in April and Iโm not sure if Iโm going to
be able to can without her. I enjoy watching your videos that include your mom! Six years ago when we moved to the mountains, I harvested 32 different varieties of tomato ๐ plants. We had more jars of tomatoes that year than ever!

Hi Laura! That was a great tomato harvest for canning, and will be so nice having them on hand. It's always fun seeing your Mom in your videos, and seeing Benjamin and Samantha Grace enjoying themselves while you both work in the kitchen. The tortellini dish looks delicious! I have a Hoya Kerri plant that I got two years ago around Valentineโs Day and it is just starting to put on some vine growth. I was starting to think nothing was going to happen.
