Make sure to not put cans on top of your potatoes. Don’t leave your rings on either. Someone’s lid came loose and resealed. Not sure if it was lids on or some others staked on top. Sadly this person poisoned herself and church people . SHE DIDNT KNOW. Sadly there was a loss of life. Leaving the lids open you will see it came loose. Check your jars from time to time.

    The question?
When you have the potatoes in the fridge raider soaking in water for 24 hours do you put anything in them like lemon or salt? Or is it just plain water.
Thank you for everything you share Miss Laurie 😘🙏🙏

My pressure was fluctuating just like you talked about. My problem is, I live in an apartment and I have electric stove. So I just keep watching it till I get it to stay at 11 to 12.

Thank you Miss Lori for your wonderful videos. I have a question about frying canned potatoes since I have never canned any before. Aren't the potatoes cooked soft in the jars? If you put them into a frying pan do you have your pan on med high heat or higher to get them browned as quickly as possible? Just wondering. Thanks so much!

Ms. Lori, I notice you use a gas stove. I seem to recall, in my pressure canner directions it says not to use it over flame. We both use the same canner. And, of course, I can't find where it said it or why. Have you noticed anything like marks or pitting or any such problems on the outside of your vessel? My kitchen and stove are on the small side and I would like to use the portable burner setup that I use to boil peanuts on to process my jars. Have you heard of anything saying not to use over flame? I certainly wouldn't try it over a wood fire of any kind, of course.

I love your videos. You are such a good teacher. Beautiful shelves and home. I was wondering what kind of potatoes you used? I am about ready to dig our yukon gold potatoes. Hopefully they will work.😀

I cannot tolerate store bought canned spuds. Do the home grown/canned taste like a normal spud? I have not canned them for fear they would taste terrible like the store bought.

I save the starch water I boil them in to use for my bread. I can some of the liquid too.
I just love the taste of canned potatoes. I don't know what makes them taste like that lol. Canning I guess.
Do you put a dummy jar full of water in your pc to make it full. I've always done that according to why I can't remember….Thank you

Thanks so much for all tour videos. I have learned so much from you. I have canned some russet potatoes and we tried making mashed potatoes by heating them then mashing with butter & milk. We didn't care for them. They were grainy & lumpy. How do you fix your canned potatoes?

You are so calming and fun to listen to, I LOVE your kitchen! Building a cabin on 3.33 acres I just bought, tiny bedroom, tiny bathroom, and HUGE kitchen! Homestead here I come! Back to my upbringing! Trying to think of a good name for my ponderosa 🙂

Wonderful information thank you. I canned some potatoes six months ago using your video and all the liquid has been absorbed over time. My question is are they still ok to use even though they have been stored without liquid in the jar? I havent opened a jar yet. I have been worried about using them. Are you able to help me please. Kind regards from Janine

I grew up around potato farms… If the potato is green , it is not because it is not ripe. That grrn part is actually NOT GOOD TO EAT! TRhrow that out. It can make you sick.

So if you forget to debubble and you get seepage out of your jars what happens? But when you pull the out you see some seepage in the water left in canner, but your jars pop and seal. Are they still good?
