You called yourself a "rebel" because you can your beans as is. Is there a benefit to canning them without cooking them or is it to just get them preserved? I'm currently not a canner. I'm just watching and learning for now.

This is not a criticism but I would find a darker location for your seeds. In a closet, under a bed or even in that room, just not by the gap in the curtain that allows light on that part of the shelf. I really enjoy your journey and excitement in learning. You go for it and fully commit and I respect that very much.

Ball canning make a pectin that you can use only 1 cup of sugar per recipe. I buy mine off Amazon. I don’t taste the difference in using less sugar. I am diabetic so this is a great option for me.

Becky instead of using the one piece regulator for you Presto canner- you might look at the 3 piece regulator. You don’t use the dial at all- you just watch or listen for the gentle rocking motion. It comes with 5#,10# and 15# weights. Also you won’t have to get your canner gauge calibrated every year. Love your
    Channel.

Can you answer a few questions? I was told I can’t pressure can on my glasstop stove but you did. Was I told incorrectly? We’re your plums peeled? Did you not have to soak your lids ?Love your energy. I just found you and I am in awe.

I have been making jams with honey instead of sugar & using chia seeds to thicken. Only small batches & I just refridgerate them. I usually add lemon juice & cinnamon. I grew up making jam with my Mum & the ratio was 1 cup of fruit & 1 cup sugar. I now have pretty much eliminated sugar from my diet. Love your videos & your energy!

A great video! My in-laws live in Vancouver so it’s fun to see your current videos that encapsulate the weather 🤗. The way you deliver your daily routine is infectious and inspiring. I was way more productive on my last day off seeing how much you get done in a day, so thank you 😊.

Girl, you put in a DAY'S work!!!!!!! I could hardly keep up with you!!!!!!!! That pumpkin bread looked so good. I've heard that giving pumpkin seeds to chickens is a natural wormer, but I do not know if that true, just heard it!!! Worth checking into though!!!!!! I wonder if the natural drying of the big pumpkins caused them to become stringy on the inside???? I've never tried to store them like that!!!!!! At any rate, my hat is off to you for all you did in one day! WOW!!!!!!! Oh, btw, I don't know what would cause you cast iron pot to make your broth taste metalic like that. Never heard of that happening before. Let us know what you find out!!!

If you're rinsing off the beans anyway, it might be faster to just dump the beans and chaf in a bowl with some water, and the chafe will float to the top so you can skim it off. The fan method looks great tho

Also, this year with your plums. I halve them, add them to a pan, add mulled spices and some sugar until they are all sticky. Then I bag those up for the freezer. Absolutely amazing on porridge in winter ❄️

How long can pumpkins last on the shelves? Amazing about the black beans. So when done canning (don't know much about this) the beans are cooked and ready for whenever?

Girl you did a lot for one day. I miss my younger days when like you I got a lot accomplished. I'd get up at 5am with my boys, have breakfast, put something on for dinner and a load of clothes in to wash then head to the garden for the rest of the day unless it was a day the yard needed mowing. Those were the good old days for me.

Get some pipe lagging and put it round the chickens water pipe it will help stop it freezing. You should NEVER wash freshly laid eggs just wipe clean with a dry cloth by washing them you are washing off the protective coating this coating will allow a longer life of the egg.
