I don't know if this is just my family being weird but when we eat Japanese sticky rice, we sometimes have leftover squid or octopus so we dip it in that and eat it along with the rice. It's sooo good

Don’t get them on your hands. If you do, your hands will smell fishy! We Filipinos have a similar sauce. We typically just put calamansi or lemon on it and dip seafood and vegetables with it.
