Wow. Even if it doesn't completely cure it, I am betting it will slow the progression and lessen the need for insulin significantly. Totally worth trying.
I went from 70 units of Insulin to 0. T2: thanks to God my pancreatic system still works im off it 100% only took weeks to get off, I'm down 39 lbs , off my BP med as well , Drs dismissing these are not good doctor's, type 1:kills so many kids young, why would we not ise this as therapy?
No thats complete BS, diabetes type 1 cant be cured and fasting is dangerous for diabetics.

You can't fix type 1 with diet. The pancreas doesn't work.

The keto diet was created in the 1950s for Type 1 diabetes
MISINFORMATION ! Type 1 and type 2 are NOT curable, only controlled. The pancreas can not suddenly start producing insulin again for one thing, I could go on about all the reasons this idea is such BS. They are ignorant.
I am 60yrs old. Unfortunately i have been to a great many differnt kinds of doctors, of various specialties. NONE HAVE EVER ASKED ME WHAT I EAT!!! They are down right ignorant about nutrition.
Not surprised the doctor dismissed it.
Most are ignorant of nutrition and it's effect on the human body.
How they can keep ignoring all the building blocks of human development is astonishing.
I had serious signs of type 1 diabetes and went on the C diet and my blood sugar dropped seriously for the first 5 days, then slowly came back to normal. Bit of a worry. But the signs were gone after 25days. I think I luckily avoided the entire problem. But it was risky.
