Oh Kate, all that food looked absolutely delicious! I caught a glimpse of your purple cabbage sauerkraut, yum! Do you have a recipe for that? You are such an inspiration, you and your sweet crew work so hard. God bless you all! Much love from Tennessee. ❤️
I think Amos needs a new gun maybe? Or some trays for the freeze dryer? Maybe the new pressure canner is his birthday present! He definitely wants that 😉
Also, should I use specific bones for bone broth? I made it like I should with whatever bones the butcher gave me, but it turned out super light! Not good and dark like yours
Does grass fed beef taste/smell a little different than non-grass fed? The cow we have in our freezer was grass fed and tasted/smells a bit different, almost bad.
lol Mac's face when he was eating the ham reminded me of the faces that The Grinch makes from the movie with Jim Carey.. You asking Rowan to give the soother and she's like NOPE, I had one of those too it was her bff till she threw it out the car window one day while we were going down the highway…..
So fun to go along with you and see what your days are like! All those meals look & sound delicious! I enjoyed hearing you on the rural woman podcast. You're set a great example to your kids! I think it's wonderful your kids are right there beside you & Marius learning all those skills. So many kids now days don't have many skills or have been taught to work hard or work together to accomplish a task.
Hey Gang, Kate, you are a blessing, inspirationol and motivater for other to follow, God's Good Blessings to you and your beautiful family keep up the great work love U guys XOXOXO stay safe
Bless you – I am so enjoying your life right now. I also got a half of a burger cow this week.I've been doing all the things; jerky, summer sausage, canned burger, bologna and packaging for the freezer. My kids are all grown up and gone except my daughter, so I get to have all the fun! LOL! Keep it up, and blessings to you as you raise your children. ~ A fellow homesteader in WY.
Hey Kate 👋 I would love to make your ham chowder for dinner tomorrow night… is there a recipe on your blog? It looked absolutely lush💯❤ Thank goodness for friends like you. You've helped so many people with the meat cow, God Bless you, Marius and your family.
Love your giving spirit! I feel like so many folks are worried about food security right now, and it can make some think the other way- that they need to hoard food. Really like the idea of hash browns with the leftover baked potatoes!
That Amos! 😍 Sweetie Pie!

Can you and Hamish tolerate the barley with your gluten issues? I avoid it.
