Trying out Buffalo Wings in my instant pot!
Update: Husband said they were “Very, very good” and when asked if he wanted more he said, “Yes… all of them.” It’s a win!!!
The original recipe that I modified can be found here: http://www.thekitchenwhisperer.net/2014/07/29/pressure-cooker-wings-bourbon-honey-bbq-sauce/ Note: I skipped the last step of slathering in sauce and broiling again. They were crispy enough with just broiling both sides once. ๐

what a beautiful face !!!
Alright Nili, I gave this a shot. 3rd use of the Instant Pot since Christmas. Didnโt use water, wings were frozen. โFall off the boneโ doesnโt describe how fall off the bone they actually turn out. I sprinkled some โEverglades Heat seasoning on the wings prior to broiling. (No sure where home is for you, but I grew up in Florida and Publix carries this all purpose seasoning, even in Atlanta) I wish I could tell you how they turned out. I made 36 wings, called my 3 boys down for lunch and to be my human guinea pigs. I made the mistake of cleaning up after the wings were done. All 36 were eaten before I cleaned the pot. I heard they were good…
Looks great. I think Iโll make them today. Thanks for sharing.
Do not add the water initially with the Franks sauce. Add a little Olive Oil instead.
I'd put them in the broiler longer to get them crispier. If I wanted any sweetness I'd use a sugar substitute at the end.
Looks delish. Thanks for your video. I will try. ๐๐๐๐
I love buffalo wings but I like to make my own so thank you for this yummy recipe ๐
thanks for the video
I added some honey to the wing sauce….. yum
If you put them in the oven longer they will get really crispy.
Thanks.
to much work
beautiful. ๐
So, cant you just boil the wings in a pot then transfer them onto the rack…and avoid all of that bologna?
I keep learning recipes to cook in my Instant Pot! I will try after Christmas! Thank you so much for the recipe!
try putting the thickened sauce on the wings and then throw them in the broiler
I will definately try this at home. Thanks.
Super
I cooked mine for 10 minutes, put them in the oven on broil, and it seemed to take forever to get them crispy. I felt that even when I got them crispy and I put them in the hot sauce the skin still got softer. didn't really like them.
You have beautiful blue eyes ๐
Great recipe but too watery Nili next time skip the water
๐
beautiful video
Great video ๐
Great video!
If you wanted to add the wings frozen you could just eliminate the cup of water in your sauce mix. I bought myself a cooper tray with basket at bed bat and beyond and it crispens things real well with no oil even on bake. I was very impressed with it. I was going to buy an air fryer but I don't fry a lot and my cooper tray does the trick. I've used it for store wings, pizza rolls, eggs rolls and all kinds of other things. Did you know BBB 20% off coupon never expires? ๐ I'm trying you recipe for the fourth thx ๐
It would be great if you all could add How many wings at a time?
Thanks! Going to make these tonight.
I made these tonight and they're delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this great recipe.
anyone try moving the wings to a wire rack over a paper towel to let them dry a bit, then tossing the wings in corn starch before putting in the oven to produce a crispier wing before coating with sauce? may add a bit of flour to give a more cripsy coat and help hold the sauce on the wings? I don't have a pressure cooker to try it my self.
Whats wings shop? I heard of wings stop
new to cooking and InstaPot cooking. I love your videos and want to say thank you for how thorough you are with your explanations. thank you!!!
Since your husband doesn't like to be on camera, it would be a great idea if you post a family pic !!! Thanks in advance.
Love your recipe. Very similiar to what I use for my equally fussy & camera shy husband.
A note – Many people comment upon your eyes. Just so you know, you are stuck with those 'Bedroom Eyes' for the rest of your life. I've had strange men tell me about my eyes all my life. I'm 61 and it hasn't stopped yet.
Men love bedroom eyes for some reason. Good luck with that & hope you're husband is secure and not the jealous type.
Strange men have & still, approach me to tell me about my eyes. Even with my husband right next to me. I even tried brown contacts; didn't work. Just attracted a different kind of men. It doesn't stop the truly determined who want to tell me how beautiful my eyes are. ( Like I haven't heard it all my life. Duh!)
My eyes only see my husband. They're the only eyes that I have. They will be donated upon my death. One day, someone else can have my bedroom eyes, besides me.
Hey Nili! I know this is older and I am not sure if you will get this but you mentioned putting Avocado oil in your Misto. Have you done a video on the Misto? I have considered getting one but I wasnโt sure it could handle the viscosity of the avo oil. Have you had continued success with it?
Were the wings frozen when added?
Oil and water do not play well with each other is the reason is splatters. Second, once you reduce it down like you want it, sprinkle a little corn starch in it, it will bind the oil and water at a boil, and thicken the sauce dramatically coming from a boil and starting to cool.
The wingz look good! Your eyes are very pretty!!
Being from Buffalo we laugh every time we hear people say Buffalo wings. To us they are just wings.
Hi Nili, I want to try this recipe for dinner. I need to double the quanity for my family ie:4lb wings. Should I adjust the cooking time? Would you just double the sauce? Cheers, Fleur x

I made one change..I have a convection oven and put up to F 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending upon the size of the wings…and does great since the heat hits it from all sides a bit more. Soooo tender! loved your liquid in the pot!
Sure looks good!
So excited to try this recipe! Great tutorial!
I went to the link you got the recipe from.
These look amazing thanks for sharing it!

If you use Wing sauce, do you still add the melted butter?
Maybe try a grill surface to finish instead of oven. My most passionate wings customers loved half fried half grilled the most. Worked at a few buffalo originating restaurants.
