Joe I’m SO happy you finally did this!! 🀣 A little sad you gave it a 7.2, because I LOVE Bucees sandwiches, but I can respect your opinion, I guess. πŸ˜‹ Miss you!

We serve brisket sliced around room temp and dry, no sauce on top or mixed in. That’s the way I was taught to make it. I know with stores/restaurants the temp has to comply with the health dept. standards. To me this place is ridiculous over the top from the amount of gas pumps to the size of it.

This guy's videos make me want to vomit. He's clearly suffering from a manic disorder and at least a total disconect from who he comes across as . Just a smug asshole on the spectrum.

Thanks for doing this one Joe, you rock! We recently got our first Buc-ees in KY and I had my first taste of this sandwich a few months ago and loved it. Stopped by this Calhoun location and wasn't surprised to see it extremely busy and that sandwich was on point again. They're adding a 2nd KY location about 40 min away so I can't wait to try their other stuff too.

You can't ding them for the temperature. Real BBQ is not served steaming hot. Remember, when they say "low and slow", the "low" is indicative of the temperature at which the meat is cooked, usually around 200-220 degrees. It is not deep fried in scalding hot oil or baked in a searing oven, it's smoked which is not a high temperature cooking method.

For reference, most Texas brisket isn't ready to serve until it has rested for hours in a cooler and dropped under 135F. You need to think of it more like a cold-cut sandwich. I've NEVER seen steam coming off any Texas BBQ plate, beyond the beans. It's all room temp or slightly warmer when served. And I'm talking places like Franklins BBQ in Austin and the Pecan Lodge in Dallas.

I love all the Buc-ee's hot sandwiches. I got one of the pre-made, cold cut refrigerated sandwiches once and was disappointed.

Texas BBQ is never hot, so that was kind of silly. That would be like looking for a 150F Reuben sandwich.

We don't have any Buc-ee's around here. I expect since it was fro a gas station/convenience store I expect they are premade up and sit under a heat lap. It looked pretty good, especially for a gas station sandwich. Must not have been to bad to get the score you gave it.

I absolutely love Buc-ees!! They have cheaper gas prices, great food, very clean restrooms, everyone is very nice, fountain drinks under $1 (even the largest size), great variety of chips and candy, tasty bbq sauce and sandwiches, largest variety of jerky, delicious Kolaches, fresh baked cookies and pastries … etc. Also try the potato chips made in the store! Delicious! I have been to this Buc-ees in Georgia several times since the 3rd day it opened. I can't wait to visit the one in Sevierville, TN! It will be the largest Buc-ees in the world with a carwash! LoL. Thank you for the video Joe!

I was super excited to see a Buc-ee's review. I love the chopped brisket sandwich and stop to get one whenever I'm in the area of Buc-ee's. But Joe….Joe….Joe…no Beaver Nuggets? You have to finish off the sandwich by snacking on Beaver Nuggets! I enjoyed the review!
