"I'm done with competitions after that last one" 🤣🤣 I have saved that vlog for the cooking directions as i haven't had a chance to try it yet. A slight variant from the trifles we have here in the UK, we tend to put the fruit and cake fingers into a jelly base! Looks very yummy though. Oh my – their reaction to your channel… PRICELESS x

Papa, I’m sure you’re everyone’s favorite professor. Thanks for reminding me how easy and versatile trifles are to make. My favorite part was your students laughing at the fact that you have a YouTube channel 😂 they probably went home and binged watched your videos 😂

Hi Jerry and Sue, hello from England! Your trifle looks wonderful. Our traditional British trifle starts with a base of plain cake or sponge fingers over which you pour jelly, which is jello in the US. You make it but with less water so that it sets a little firmer. I use about 30% less water in total per package. You make it with boiling water to dissolve it then I add some iced water to make up the rest of the water then you pour the liquid jello over the cake. You will need a few packages as it absorbs quickly into the cake. When it sets the jello cake layer is the signature of the dessert. After that you pretty much layer it to suit whatever you like finishing with a layer of custard topped with freshly whipped cream , I’d use double cream as it whips best. Your layer of strawberries and raspberries looks lovely and something I will do next time. Love your channel!

Oh my goodness that vanilla strawberry trifle looked delicious . Now I have just the bowl to make it. I’ve made a chocolate one years ago which came out fairly good. Now this one that you made will top it. I’m thinking would be a nice dessert to take when invited for thanksgiving dinner. Thank you for the idea “Papa’s Kitchen”❤️

Looks delish , but being Australian my Trifle is nothing like yours as you say there are a lot of versions, we use sponge cake and I sprinkle on Port we add fruit and custard and I top with whipped cream chocolate shavings and Strawberries , my Mum always added jelly but I don't like jelly, you must listen to Susan when she tells you to let the juice soak the sponge Jerry 😅😅😅
