I made this yesterday! I didn’t have sausage so I added ground beef and seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and taco seasoning. It turned out almost like a cheesy potato taco bake and was delish 🎉

Hello from Oregon and Burr it's so cold. Ok pastry chicken pockets – 1- 3oz soft cream cheese, 2 Tbls melted butter, 1/4 salt, 1/8 black pepper, 2 Tbls milk, 2 Tbls tiny chopped onion, 2 Tbls chopped Pimentos, mix good then cut up tiny 2 cup's chicken or use can chicken mix and you need for this one and a half puff pastry sheet cut into 3 inch square place 1 Tbls in center and fold sides inn after all done melt 1 Tbls butter and brush on top all. Bake 400' for 30 minutes or tell light golden brown. These can freeze after cooked. But no one in my family will let that happen. If you like before backing sprinkle little breadcrumbs on top so fancy.

I love making this! After I cook the sausage, peppers and onions, I dice up a couple slices especially of bacon, cook it in the same pan, making sure to really render out the fat. If you need more fat, add some saved bacon grease or some butter. Add flour to make a roux, let it cook for a few mins, add milk, whisk so you don't get lumps, salt and pepper to taste. Makes an amazingly tasty gravy after cooking the meat a d veggies! I figure, why waste all the yummiest in the pan and it's already dirty, so just make gravy! It's good on that casserole but you can save it and reheat it, serve it with biscuits, or make pancakes, roll a sausage link in each and dip in the gravy. Is it healthy? Nope, not at all. But its yummy!

Yummo. Mostly I do hash just in the big cast iron frypan because I'm short on cooking time or don't want to wash a baking pan. Lol. Leftover meat or diced bacon , sweet potatoes or white potato, herbs are the base then sometimes I do lots of spices and sometimes just s&p. Delicious and warm and filling every time. Thank you for sharing how you do it ,lovely 😊
