Day 2 at Whippoorwill Holler, and every day spent with these wonderful people is a blessing! Mr. Brown made his sausage gravy and Mrs. Lori made her biscuits …
That sorghum pressing…..interesting! I use it in my homemade cough syrup and get it from a feed supply store here! Curious about sorghum!
This is a really interesting video! Great information. And so pleasant and as ever, uplifting! ❤️
A girl could starve waiting for this gravy! I'm sure it's wonderful my hungry family could never wait this long for breakfast.
I’m so glad you got to go see Mrs.Lori & Mr. Brown you can see how happy it makes you to see them. God bless, enjoy yourself 🙏🏻♥️
You are so blessed to have Pa’s gravy! Looks so good! My dad was in the A.F. and we ate SOS many nights to get by. Its still my fav comfort food. I hope y’all have a great time together!
SOS was a weekly meal when I was a kid, and that's what my parents called it!
Good food, good friends, good time!
Lucky ladies, being able to hang out with Ms Lori and Mr Brown, with sausage gravy too! Was it wonderful??? 😀
I won't use Canola Oil.
Yum
I love biscuits and gravy another name is SOS and with eggs on top of it

After nearly 30 yrs. Diabetes, a heart attack and two heart surgeries, multiple surgeries on my back and bones, my research said: a little lard and a little butter is much better for you than any thing else to cook with.
Really glad to see Miss Vickie ,came to visit and of course Mr Brown cooking when my Larry was in the Army that’s what he eat a lot of and know,my mama and Big mama always cooked with Bacon drippings and of course fat from the pig will I injoy this video with Miss Vickie.

In the 50's and 60's my dad used to make "$#@% on a Shingle". He used that jarred chipped beef, I think it was Hormel. He made his white gravy and we had it for breakfast over toast. And that was in Southern California!! Delicious. I miss those days with my daddy cooking. Also, he used to fry us up frog legs sometimes too! Just me and my daddy would eat it, not my mom!
Oh wait,,I see this your video,,mrs Vicky…

My Uncle, John Henry Whitten (Doodle), grew cane and made the best Sorghum in Evening Shade, Arkansas. He used his mules like this too in the early years. His mules lived to be 37 and 35 years old.
I agree! The illnesses we’re all suffering from is environmental. Pesticides and chemicals in our food and air. So sad!
SOS. LOL My Aunt used to make that for my Uncle. It was so good! My Uncle had it in the Air Force and taught my Aunt to make it. Thanks for reminding me of that memory. Uncle Jim was a really good man!
Miss Vicky, why isn’t your husband ever in videos?
I enjoyed this video. Was putting my “Old Glory” insert in the chorus of When The Role is called up Yonder. God Bless you my virtual friends.
Hard work ing folks of the past were able to consume fats and convert to energy during their daily tasks. Today's sedentary population stores this type of food in the liver and ends up clogging up their arteries, since they eat so many carbs and this is used for energy instead. Eat what you want and get up and move is my motto.
I can't think of a better way to start my day than watch you all in fellowship in the quiet moments of the kitchen at the beginning of the day. Sitting here on my front porch in East Texas listening to my roosters crow and singing right along with you and wishing I had a big plate of those biscuits covered in that gravy! You all are tremendously blessed. Much love.
The fellowship of the homesteading community is just amazing! Bless ya'll! 🙏❤️🙏
Blessings always ❤️🎃☝🏼💯🙏
I'm eating keto.. but I'll eat those biscuits!
