Should mention. Don't buy random cheap beans, unless necessary.

Dry beans are already cheap, yet nutritious. At least find the high quality ones for an extra dollar a pound.

I've never seen black beans like this. Once I rinse and soak mine, they're dark blue or purple and even as they dilute from a few rinses, they stay a deep purple. I've never seen any green or pale yellow. The beans you used are probably really fresh.

I came here just to see what I was doing wrong. Since a few of my beans still come out mone tender while other are good, but I came out learning some new things to add to the favor! People think chicken is the cheapest protein..guess they forget about legumes.
Also, I soak for 16hr+ really helps gets rid of bean side effects..lol

Thank you for making this video. I looked for a regular black bean recipe, not Cuban Beans with all types of complicated ingredients. Thanks a million, can't wait to try this recipe, soaking my beans as I type my comment on your page.

planning to do this but my question is can keep in a fridge in about 4 to 5 days without getting expired? Planning to cook lots of it for my diet, cooking every single day makes me angry 😂🤣

I don't want to make you self-conscious, but I have to say one of the reasons I appreciate your videos is your clear diction. I am never in doubt about what you say.
Have you tried brining the beans overnight? It helps keep the beans whole when they cook.

Thank you very much for posting this video. I really enjoyed your video, but how do I know if my beans are done? What type of texture should I be looking for? Best wishes and stay safe!

Pressure cooker 3-5 minutes, sometimes as many as 8 for beans, with natural release (winds up being about 30ish). Use as much water as you want to end up with, but at least as much as will cover the beans.

We grew up eating only black beans, it wasn’t until we got to US that we tasted pinto and navy and the rest 😂 will say not my fav, I love black beans better, my mom and grandma add epasote to them and the salt and pepper and they are delicious
