Please could you advise me on how to do chow mein? Should the noodles be al dente and mixed with some sesame oil before adding to the wok? When frying the noodles should the wok be very hot?

02:58 I can imagine why they call it that way. I once accidentally touched a very hot wok with my bare hands and this is the exact same noise I made.
Done this recipe 4 times and I love it so much so does my best friend. Tastes like going out to Mongolian Grill.
I just did this recipe, but minus the beef due to my vegetarian wife (she eats fish occasionally). We added bean sprouts, broccoli, onions, sweet peppers, green onions and a bit of freshly crushed and chopped garlic with a bit of toasted sesame oil after cooking. I also used avocado oil for the initial process. Thank you so much! It was fantastic!
Just made this, wow, really good. I used a striploin and fresh lo mein.
I added a sprinkle of magic white powder (MSG) and increased the sauce volume a bit.
It's great when something so simple tastes so good.

It looks absolutely great! 😋 May I ask, is it possible to use Mirin- japanese cooking wine instead of the recipe mentioned chinese rice cooking wine? Is there a big difference between these two? Unfortunately I couldn't find the chinese rice cooking wine and I am eager to try the recipe. Thank you very much! ☺
