Tom, I just made a double batch of your cranberry sauce….it is the best! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for all of your content. I really enjoy it. Watching you spatchcock this turkey almost made me a vegetarian. Lol I love turkey but this year I'm thankful that I will never have to perform that operation. Have a wonderful holiday!
This is definitely a great way to prepare a Thanksgiving Turkey Mr. Tom.
Tom you sound hoarse I hope you are feeling better and I wish You & Melissa a Happy Thanksgiving. My Daddy was a lead cook for well known large restaurants and then before changing professions he cooked for as many as 500 men on oil rigs. He was the best cook. He could cut-up a turkey or chicken beautifully but his daughter (me) can't. Even after him showing me how a couple times. His turkey or ham was tender and out of this world. I am a great southern country cook ha that is what a butcher is for just ask them to cut-up your turkey, lol. My husband still talks about missing certain things Daddy cooked. I just miss talking to Daddy & Mama which he does to. Thanks Tom & Melissa
"Fingertip Covers" (Fingertip cots) are what I use to cover a bandaged finger. They're a latex glove for only one finger. Great show. Y'all have a safe & blessed Thanksgiving! ๐บ๐ธ ๐โ
Mine was too Salty for my taste
Looks awesome happy thanksgiving
You had me gut laughing so hard! After you stated "Flipping the bird" And then put your index finger close to the camera I started laughing. I know it was totally innocent but I couldn't help it! Happy Thanksgiving ๐ฆ!
Love watching and using your recipes. When you cook your turkey this way, is there enough drippings to make gravy? Iโd love a video on that!
looks good
I put turkey in roasting pan breast down. Put 1 stick of butter inside turkey. Cover with poultry seasoning salt and pepper. Cover with tin foil. Preheat oven 250 degrees. Put in oven 10 pm. Wake up next morning Turkey is flat in pan and all is juicy and tender. Debone keep broth.
I love it but is kosher salt ok for kidneys etc?
It's was great but you talk to much you should get to the point and skip a lots of talking
Fantastic video, Tom & Melissa. I watch every single video you post & continue to learn. This one is amazing. Will do!
Joan & Dennis from NY. ๐
Looks good thanks for your tips .
Thank you for this video! I am going to definitely do this this year โค
Hi Tom, I can here in your voice that all these fires around us in Kentucky and Tennessee along with the Fall allergies, have effected you the same as they have me. I pray you (and I) are better by Thanksgiving so we can enjoy the feast. Great tutorial! God bless, be safe and stay well, Happy Thanksgiving to you both and your family ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐๐
You found out how sharp those knives are be careful have a blessed Thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful for
Great Yum
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving ๐ฆ Tom and Melissa and Familyโคโค
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Melissa & Tom!!!
Salt is actually good for you people! Even with heart conditions! It's better for you than the medicine you are told to take daily! ๐
I have never used brine for my turkey because I have always stuffed mine like my mom always did. But, I think I may have to brine a smaller Turkey! ๐
Do you ever make Goulash? My family loves it and I was wondering how you would make it.
Tom how can it be flavored when you did put anything on it just asking โค.
We love watching your posts. Have tried a lot of your recipes and loved them. I was just wondering if you have a recipe for chocolate oatmeal? Keep up the great work.
Turkey is my favorite meat, I just wonder if I cook the bird as a whole and use kosher salt if I would still be that juicy. Iโve never had a dry turkey however I can always use a juicer turkey
Have you considered making a cookbook?
You can just pass the end over to me! My favorite!
Could you do this to roast chicken or hen
Looks so good. Turkey gravy is the best gravy around. Growing up, my mom would always give me about a fourth a cup of the turkey broth and would let me drink it because I loved it so much. ๐๐๐
So salt is the only seasoning you use when baking the turkey? It looks delicious!
Why do you crisp the skin, then cook it skin side down? Doesn't it lose the crispiness sitting in all that juice? Wouldn't it brown nicely if you just roasted it skin-side up?
I can just imagine your former students cracking up when you talked about flipping the bird! There's only 2 of us, so I will probably just cook a turkey breast. I did one in my Air Fryer, and it came out so good, I might just do it again! This is a great way to do a big turkey–often the breast overcooks while waiting for the dark meat to come to temp.
