I was sold on the InstantPot because of the high ratings. I actually settled on the Duo80 (8 quart ). I liked the Instant Pot brand over the others because of the accessories, customer service and the easy access to reordering parts for my Instant Pot if they wear out.
I got my pot in 2014 and finally started to use it .bought it because of the high rating. Had a cuisinard,which I gave to my granddaughter. I have started to use the instapot and loved it until tonight,.wanted to brown pork chops,but it never go hot enough on sear. Finally browned the on the stove. Put them in the pot added the rest. Set it and it started to count down but NOsteam, nevertheless supper had to be finished with the stove top pressure cooker. NOT impressed ,,
