This is a good recipe and you are very right.the stew meat is hard.tough. if you want to make it quickly use rib eye. But I left it at a low simmer for about 4 hours.

cooked this for my wife and she loved it. i will add though that times my be different depending on what you cook with. i used a wok and it took in total about 45 minutes. great recipe either way

Maybe Iβm stupid but I left it on medium heat and within the first 45 minutes it burned, only thing different is that Iβm using a electric stovetop with a double burner/inner and outer burner and a cast iron/ceramic pot instead of a metal one. It smelled great until the burning happened
