Thank you Anita , great ideas. I love my Ninja Foodi Air Fryer and Instant Pot and since I’m β€œmostly”carnivore I love getting these suggestions ‼️I understand heat wave…as I live in the Palm Springs area and I think it’s going to be 110Β° F / 42.3Β°C today πŸ₯΅. I don’t do Facebook, 😒but I’ll do the clean August as well. Stay safe & well❣️P.S. Do you feel adding the gelatin made a difference? Warmly, Stephanie

Excellent appliances for beating the heat!! The rolls look great!! We are just getting some relief from a week+ long wave πŸ₯΅ I used the Instant Pot for eggs and the sous vide for prepping some steak, fish, and chicken! No heating up the kitchen!! Yay! Bon appetit and I hope your wave is over by now!

Is it not common to have Air Conditioners in Canada? I am in Texas and can't imagine. I hope y'all made it thru the heat wave alright. πŸ™‚ I will try these buns tomorrow during my lunch break. Lamb is a favorite!

For those that use two tablespoons of gelatin for your original-recipe BBBE bread, would you recommend an additional tablespoon to improve the texture as you have in this rendition?

So happy to see you beating the heat as well with your ninja. It’s really saved me this summer. Was in the 100s (40s centigrade I believe?) and I never had to resort to ordering out because of it.

Also, I wanted to share something I’ve been doing with the egg pudding recipe:

I love that chocolate pudding you turned us all on to. I know it’s a Maria Emmerich recipe, but I learned about it through you. I’ve been scrambling the eggs instead of boiling (a lot easier with the peeling), and instead of cream, I just use raw eggs. My proportion is 4:1 ratio of scrambled to raw.

    For making two quarts:

    18 eggs scrambled
    6 raw eggs
3/4 cup of erythritol (will be trying soon with glycine)
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 heaping teaspoon gelatin powder

Combine all ingredients in the blender with the scrambled eggs on top while they’re still warm but not hot (this helps incorporate and bloom the gelatin). I let it go for a couple minutes on high.

It’s amazing and almost completely eggs. High protein and much less fat than with using cream and very very very satisfying. It’s my go-to for lunch at work as I started making and storing it in individual pint containers. Additionally, I upped the gelatin once and made a really great egg panna cotta, but I wish I’d added more sweetener in kind.

Both Janet and Lindsey have both baked buns in their air fryers and it worked. I have tried it too and it works well. I have a Gourmia 7. Quart Air Fryer from Costco and it worked well.
You can make bacon in the air fryer – I cook it for 8 minutes at 400 degrees Works really well.

I made your recipe for buns after your last video. That is the best version I've tried so far. Thank you!!
Thank you, too, for showing how to make carnivore crisps several months ago. I've been getting beef rib & lamb sliced thin for Korean BBQ at the Asian grocery. Yesterday, I found a butcher shop with thin sliced meats and stocked the freezer. Yum!!

Soooo, I watched and was really impressed with your buns.. as it's 102Β° here in New York Texas right now and that's been our avg temp for the past month up to 112Β° a couple weeks ago, I've decided to try this is my Ninja.

I'll let ya know how it goes… I'm nervous and excited 😊 this could be a total game changer as I've not have my bread in weeks… just cannot heat up the kitchen that much…
    Blessings 🌞

I would be interested in that clean ketovore month. Is it with a public facebook group or private? You are brave doing the buns that way and they looked lovely! Thanks for sharing your experiments with us.

I just made your bread recipe today. I have an air fryer exactly like yours, so I decided to try cooking the buns in the air fryer like you did. Worked great, but I did have to decrease the temp because they were browning too fast at 325. I went down to 290 since they were already brown and 1/2 way cooked. Anyway, they are really good! Thank you for everything you do! ❀️❀️πŸ₯°β€οΈβ€οΈ

Great video! We cook in morning hours to avoid heat. Eat main meal around 1:30pm. No A/C, hot arid climate in Greece – but is normal for summer here, so we are used to it and house airflow is designed for hot climate. Will kick off August with a 24 hour fast, at least that's the plan.

I made a bunch of buns today, too! πŸ˜† I use gelatin in my mix, too. I think it helps the bread maintain it's shape/lift. I had some of the mesh hamburger bun molds (one shallow and one deep) and just bought one of the hot dog bun mesh molds. (They're a real pain to clean, though. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«) It was really awesome eating a hot dog in a bun! I actually made two batches; one savory and one sweet. The sweet batch I made a couple cream cheese danishes, too. πŸ˜‹ I'm hoping by making the danishes it will help me stay on track.
I haven't been able to purchase the NOW 5 lb. egg white powder. It's been on back-order for months. I found a site on eBay that sells a 3-lb bag for about the same price per pound.
    Thanks for the video! 😊

β€œToo many people here with A.D.Dβ€πŸ˜‚. I get my gelatin and protein powder at Bulk Barn near Willowbrook Mall, I find it’s cheaper to by bulk.

We lived in Hawaii for 14 years and had the same shipping issues. So annoying! We came back to the mainland and can get anything we need now. Love that.
    I'll try this one.

The Instant Pot is such a handy cooking appliance when you need to cook things without heating up the kitchen or you are cooking tougher pieces of meat. I love mine for eggs, meat, stews, yogurt and all sorts of things. You have convinced me to try the egg white buns in the air fryer. They seem to turn out better and hold their shape more. I haven't been making them lately, but I have all the ingredients and I need to use that up.

Looks yummy!! I’m in a perpetual heat wave here in Florida so I decided to move my ninja foodie grill to the back patio for my burgers. Next, I’ll try those buns. Such a nice shortcut to skip the oven. Hope they turn out as good as yours!!
