Here in the Rio Grande valley (South Texas) you will find Barbacoa being served in just about any restaurant, if you want to buy it …
Just wanted to say thank you for the recipe on the barbacoa. I made it for my family and they all loved it, including myself.
Dear Lass, hello. Love when are you going back to your kitchen. I just love your kitchen. I just love your cooking. Kelley my visiting nurse cooks alot of your recipes and brings some over to me. I am in my late 90s and I can't get I to the kitchen like I used to. Thank you Lass👵🙏
I just found your channel today, I’ve seen a few videos and had to give a like to every single one and of course, you have a new subscriber 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge!
Rachel

Rachel. I LOVE your videos, and I love you!! Your kindness & love comes through the screen. 👩🍳 💖
Lost me at the tongue. 🤢
Give me the shredded meat and broth I’ll eat the meat drink the broth!
I need to try this, i have never had those cuts of meat. It looks delicious.
My mother used to cook beef tongue, decades ago. I never liked it until I had some prepared by a Mexican friend. Then I found out the problem — my mother never cooked it long enough! Since then I've been a convert, I really enjoy a beef tongue taco.
Thank you, I have never eaten cheeks or tongue but you make it look so easy and good😊
Thanks for sharing.
It may be listed here, but there are too many comments to go through and was wondering if you could let me know which foodie you have. Thanks!
You are a true angel! Thank you for teaching us your knowledge and techniques.🍲
This looks delicious!!
Thank you, Miss Rachel ❤
Yum yum yum!!
Thank you ❤
Makes me want to go back home to Edinburg TX and enjoy some of that barbacoa. Looks delicious as do all of your dishes!
I love your videos but the music doesn’t appeal to me. You should be playing some catchy Mexican music instead. I love the music that Jauja Cocina Mexicana plays, it’s the same theme song all the time!
Hijole, Rachel! Thanks so much for this! Now we can have it ANY day! ❤
I love everything you cook, but, that tongue 😝I just don't know. I can't get over what it looks like 😭
Your food is so much fun especially the foods you eat with your hands.
Wait!!! I’m confused? I’m from McAllen texas and we are considered the Rio grande valley. Where are you at? 🤔
Looks absolutely delicious. My son comes up for Christmas and last year we made la lengua. I think this year we will do barbacoa.
Your great at every thing u do 😊 I'm hungry can I come over?
I’ve never tried barbacoa. It looks delicious though.
Before my beef allergy, my favorite way was just the meat in a freshly made corn tortilla. The meat just melted in my mouth.
Yeah! Cook for us Rachel. Thanks for all you do!
What is a beef tongue
Hi Rachel, I Love the way you cook. And I love this recipe. I always wanted to know how to cook barbacoa. Thank you ❤
Omg Rachael I love your recipes and the way you present them is so easy to follow!! You are amazing, thank you so much!!
What If you don’t any kind of pressure cooker?
Do you really live in the valley? We live in Alamo! I make barbacoa but only use cheek meat! Love your recipes!
That poor animal 😢
I absolutely love barbarcoa 😋 This looks so easy to make. I can't wait ti try it. Thank you Rachael for sharing your recipes. Unfortunately I come from a family that didn't share recipes. They were always "secrets". Now there's no one who carries on my grandmothers and Aunt's recipes, who all have passed away. So I truly thank you for allowing us to hold on to our heritage…our culture. ❤
This looks so good!
Miss Rachel did you move back to Texas? Those tacos looked amazing! 🌮
OMG beautiful meat thank you Rachel your awesome ❤
Do you have any low carb recipes? Or keto friendly?😊
Hi Rachel! Thanks for sharing your recipes! I'm from the RGV, and every Sunday before church, we would have barbacoa with fresh corn tortillas and fresh salsa de molcajete. So delicious!! I never had it with guacamole until I moved to San Antonio (and I still don't understand why SA thinks it goes with Big Red lol. Now, my husband makes it in the slow cooker overnight. Yum!
