My mother used to cook beef tongue, decades ago. I never liked it until I had some prepared by a Mexican friend. Then I found out the problem — my mother never cooked it long enough! Since then I've been a convert, I really enjoy a beef tongue taco.

I love your videos but the music doesn’t appeal to me. You should be playing some catchy Mexican music instead. I love the music that Jauja Cocina Mexicana plays, it’s the same theme song all the time!

I absolutely love barbarcoa 😋 This looks so easy to make. I can't wait ti try it. Thank you Rachael for sharing your recipes. Unfortunately I come from a family that didn't share recipes. They were always "secrets". Now there's no one who carries on my grandmothers and Aunt's recipes, who all have passed away. So I truly thank you for allowing us to hold on to our heritage…our culture. ❤

Hi Rachel! Thanks for sharing your recipes! I'm from the RGV, and every Sunday before church, we would have barbacoa with fresh corn tortillas and fresh salsa de molcajete. So delicious!! I never had it with guacamole until I moved to San Antonio (and I still don't understand why SA thinks it goes with Big Red lol. Now, my husband makes it in the slow cooker overnight. Yum!
