Butterbeans are my family's favorite. I have the 8qt Instant Pot but I cook up such a big batch, it's much easier for me to do it in a big stockpot. All I add is salt pork. BB's goes good with anything.

Good to see someone using baby limas instead of the big ones! I prefer baby limas over the large ones for every use. However, they have disappeared from the market shelves here in Northern California and I have to order mine online. Don't know why they're only pushing the big ones in the supermarkets here.

Does the broth and salt toughen the beans? Just wondering? I have made butterbeans twice and my husband likes them mushier than I do!! But I'm a Yankee so what do I know about it? LOL

Best Lima Beans ever! I saute a little bit of onion to put in mine and throw in a whole jalapeno to add just a little bit of spice! Thanks for your video! I'm still learning my Instant Pot! Your video was a huge help!

I have never seen such a thing as the instant pot. Looks like a plug in pressure cooker? I was always afraid to use the one my Mom left me. Except for artichokes. I was brave enough only to cook artichokes in it! I will have to hunt one down and look at at it. Thank you Sir!

It was a pleasure watching a modest meal made so simply. (I loved seeing you use the vintage measuring cup of my childhood.) Since I have a different model than yours, I guess you meant move the valve to pressure so that's what I did. This is the first time I'm making baby lima beans. 🙂 I'll add a veg stock and nice vegan chorizo, and let you know how it turns out!
