I've made this twice now and it is definitely the best chili I've ever tasted. Its easy to modify depending on what I have on hand and the first time I made it I used whatever beans I had in the pantry including chickpeas. I leave out the green chilis because I'm not a fan, but the level of heat and intensity of flavour is amazing. It has now become a go to recipe and I've already shared it with friends.

Thank you so much! I made this, i did it!!! I loved it and your channel has given me the enjoyment i wanted to find in cooking since i use to keep messing up recipes. I also made your tomato soup and loved it! I just wanted to express how much this means to me. I will now be making your bacon mac and cheese with my own spin on topping for a previous recipe i tried and im so excited to cook!

I,ve made this many times. The second time, I added the tomato paste with the spices, and browned it a little. This sent this chili to another level. I just won my Moose Lodge chili cook off. Great recipe. Thanks.

I just made this chili today and it is delicious, just added a bit more cayenne pepper (1/2 teaspoon more) since I wanted a bit more heat to it and substituted diced jalapeno peppers instead of the fire roasted chilis. A must try for anyone looking for a great chili recipe.

Sweetheart, u didn’t need me to get back. It’s your recipe. Just make your own beans. Hugs. I’m originally from California and I love Mexican food. Here’s a refried beans hack. Make the beans for your chilli, use the other half for burritos. Ez retried beans, add a table spoon of olive oil and microwave on high 2 or three mins at a time, stirring in between. B careful bc it’s hot. Almost instant refried beans. And maybe you’re right, I’ve never had canned beans. U say it’s good and I believe u, but the only cans I open r tuna, tomatoes and peas and carrots. Hugs. Have a wonderful life

Noticed a lot of competition Chili recipes include Smoked Paprika, as well as a mandatory combo of Beef, Pork and Bacon. When in season, I like to include med-hot roasted NM Hatch Valley chillis.

Nice presentation, worth subscribing. Turns out that the recipe is remarkably close to my own, which has also won a few contests. I add a little black coffee and serve the beans separately as a condiment. Alternatively, Try spooning it over a tamale.

Hi Sam, I’ve tried many of your baking recipes, your carrot cake and red velvet have now become staples and family favourites! I live the way you explain every step and make it seem so easy!

I want to try this recipe but I don’t eat beef! 😭 have you tried substituting the beef for any other meat? Like turkey or pork?
