Kevin you are delightful!!! Everything looks delicious and I love how calm you are while preparing/cooking so opposite from me. Clearly now, I see I must start earlier in the week. Thank you ๐ take careโฆ
I recently discovered your channel, and I'm so pleased that I did. What a delicious looking meal, and lovely table setting you've prepared for your guests. And stress-free on top of it all, which means you as the host get to be your best self when company arrives. How lucky they are! I can only imagine the scintillating conversation, and delightful background music accompanying the the evening. The pandemic still has me leery about having too many people in for something like this, but hopefully some day!
You are a very happy man.I like your calmness and smiles.
Delicious food and beautiful table setting..loved the elegant way that you do things..Blessings from Florida
I add a tin or 2 of cherrywood smoked colossal oysters, oil and all, to my leek soup. The oil is more full fat!๐
Lovely! Beautiful and easy going. I guess you can do this in a heavy pot in the oven if you donโt have the Instant pot, but for how long in the oven?
I enjoy watching the way Kevin explains while cooking confidently.
Wow; I am blown away! First of all that bouquet was the prettiest I have ever seen. The time spent here was the highlight of my day. I giggled when you said peasant food while showing that large pot full of leeks. Your table setting and meal was like stepping into a dream. It must feel heavenly to be your guest. Thank you for another delightful visit Kevin Lee Jacobs.
What an awesome video Kevin. Thank you for the invite too.
I want that beef stew now!!! Yummy indeed.
I have never tried leek soup. I will most definitely try it Kevin.
๐ชบ๐ Such a LOVELY dinner and dessert !! You are such a blessing to your company with the time and talent you put into the preparations. The table looks so like your area of New York. Thanks for your great demonstrations of the recipes. Blessings to the New York host with the most !! From California. ๐๐ฆ
Can you freeze the leek soup?
You are just lovely, thank you for sharing your life with us!
Kevin, I just discovered your channel last week and am SO enjoying your videos. Fresh and pure joy!
Wonderful idea. Actually made me think of doing exactly the same thing next weekend, and making every recipe you did. Perfect.
What herb could I use instead of parsley in the soup? I like your addition of prepared horseradish to the stew. I haven't ever done it and we love horseradish as well. None of my stews turn out the same, either. I like that. You're swell!
It all looks delicious! I make stew almost the same but I also.add turnips and parsnips. Good idea to make the stew ahead as it takes even better a day or 2 later.
Cheers from Toronto, Canada. Just found your channel and am really enjoying it.
In Germany they also make leek soup. That's how I learned it from relatives. It's very delicious. No one in Montana eats leek soup. Everyone thinks this is strange but its very delicious.
I have the same Lodge pot as you do. They are great pots for cooking.
Looks lovely. I'm sure your guests enjoyed this autumn meal. Your decorations were simple, however elegant. Did you receive ravs from your guests?
Oh Joy! My favorite channel!
The trees are fixinโ to show us just how beautiful it is to let things go!
That centerpiece is gorgeous! Just a few simple things put together and wow!
Dear Kevin:
Another fine meal. Fit for a French Queen (moi).
What quantity in each the soup and
the stew might I substitute the
starch for arrowroot?
Thank you again for sharing your marvelous dishes.

Hi, Kevin! I love make-ahead meals, and this one looks outstanding. Leek and potato soup is one of my favorites, and I always love a good beef stew. The tarte tartin is a really elegant ending for the meal. Your table looks beautiful, and the musical accompaniment adds to the experience. Many thanks for your recipes and tips for gracious living! So glad I came across your wonderful channel. I plan to visit often.
Looks delicious, Kevin! Happy fall! ๐ ๐
Kevin, once again youโve inspired me to dust off my beautiful china and invite some friends over! I love how Avery is so curious about what is cooking! Love from Boston
Is your sterling Sir Christopher? Similar to my Grand Baroque. So glad I completed the set when we got married. Over the last 55 years of marriage, I use the Grand Baroque all the time. I love your recipes.
Hi Kevin, what a fabulous video, packed full of joy, cosiness and tips, thank you! I donโt have an Instant Pot, how long would you cook the stew in an oven or on the stove stop please (& would the liquids differ for a non-Instant Pot stew). Thanks so v much, Jan in England ๐๐ธ๐
Lovely video ~ all the recipes look delicious and easy (except flipping the heavy dessert pan ๐ ) . Decor and music are so soothing . Enjoyed the field trips, too.
Delishimus !! Noticed your wuffie was having a nose to see what you were cooking…..bless. x
