I recently discovered your channel, and I'm so pleased that I did. What a delicious looking meal, and lovely table setting you've prepared for your guests. And stress-free on top of it all, which means you as the host get to be your best self when company arrives. How lucky they are! I can only imagine the scintillating conversation, and delightful background music accompanying the the evening. The pandemic still has me leery about having too many people in for something like this, but hopefully some day!

Wow; I am blown away! First of all that bouquet was the prettiest I have ever seen. The time spent here was the highlight of my day. I giggled when you said peasant food while showing that large pot full of leeks. Your table setting and meal was like stepping into a dream. It must feel heavenly to be your guest. Thank you for another delightful visit Kevin Lee Jacobs.

What herb could I use instead of parsley in the soup? I like your addition of prepared horseradish to the stew. I haven't ever done it and we love horseradish as well. None of my stews turn out the same, either. I like that. You're swell!

It all looks delicious! I make stew almost the same but I also.add turnips and parsnips. Good idea to make the stew ahead as it takes even better a day or 2 later.
Cheers from Toronto, Canada. Just found your channel and am really enjoying it.

In Germany they also make leek soup. That's how I learned it from relatives. It's very delicious. No one in Montana eats leek soup. Everyone thinks this is strange but its very delicious.
I have the same Lodge pot as you do. They are great pots for cooking.

    Dear Kevin:
Another fine meal. Fit for a French Queen (moi).
What quantity in each the soup and
the stew might I substitute the
    starch for arrowroot?
Thank you again for sharing your marvelous dishes.

Hi, Kevin! I love make-ahead meals, and this one looks outstanding. Leek and potato soup is one of my favorites, and I always love a good beef stew. The tarte tartin is a really elegant ending for the meal. Your table looks beautiful, and the musical accompaniment adds to the experience. Many thanks for your recipes and tips for gracious living! So glad I came across your wonderful channel. I plan to visit often.

Is your sterling Sir Christopher? Similar to my Grand Baroque. So glad I completed the set when we got married. Over the last 55 years of marriage, I use the Grand Baroque all the time. I love your recipes.

I just found your channel, quite by accident, and I must tell you that you have brought me much joy! The first video of yours that I found was the tea sandwiches video. Marvelous!
