If you like hot chocolate you should try Oboy, it’s a chocolate powder which you mix with milk that is really popular in Sweden (and also my all time favorite). Instead of being packaged in portions which seems to be common in the US, Oboy powder is sold prepackaged by weight. So it’s cheaper and easier to mix to desired amount. Maybe there is some Swedish retailer in the US where you can buy from if you are interested to try.

Lauren, I have a possible solution for you … painting, cleaning, and unpacking ASMR videos! You can do whisper voiceovers to cover the loud noises and time lapse it for big chores.
You should be good for 36-48 months before the next PCS. Career military pro-tip: if it stays packed between moves, you don’t need it! Sell it or donate it and declutter your life. Best of luck!

Maybe someone else has mentioned it, but your idea for putting a table above the washer/dryer is a great idea, but make sure you mount it on the walls. Don’t set it directly on top of the machines as you have the potential to both generate extra noise and potentially damage the walls if it moves around assuming either machine gets a load that’s a little heavier than the machine should have.

You can make your paint thinner by adding paint solvent (i think thats the name in english,not sure) Just ask your local paint supplier and he will have it and teach you how to use. Just don't add to much, or else it will be too thin. You can also clean your painting materials with a different type of solvent, designed for removing paint. Do that everytime you're stop painting.
And matt finishes are usually easier for beginners, doesn't leave marks so easy when you overlap during paintings
