You ms Brenda have such a sweet disposition. You remain calm and focused while multitasking and carrying on conversation. I recently made this soup and it was a hit! And yes, I do add diced tomato. One of the commenters suggested jimmy dean sausage which is a great tip. I have a hot one in the freezer to defrost. XO
In NY state, Home Economics is not taught any longer. Neither is Shop nor driver training. It's sad that so many children are being deprived of the important lessons we old folks learned in these classes. I learned, not only how to follow a recipe, and cook, but also learned how plan a menu, shop, sew, and balance a checkbook. Shop class taught things like how to use tools, do small repairs around the home, how to change a flat tire, etc.
We love cabbage soup…I just made some on Saturday. I add hamburger and diced tomatoes to mine. And I also add kidney beans.
You made this soup in the Instant-Pot before. You put tomatoes in before and were arguing about whether you would put tin corned beef in! Remember? 😊
