Well, Mr. Chef Jeff, you just gave this Grandma a recipe for, Sunday dinner on a Monday…… I didn’t get to watch this yesterday. And, I LOVE ❀️ the addition of the whole kernel corn! I love corn so much that I add a can of corn and a can of baked beans to my Sloppy Joe recipe! I sure am enjoying watching your videos.
I used to live in Katy, Texas and worked in Houston for many years!

Chef Jeffrey, that’s really one of the old school dishes. Yes, it is tasty!! It is one of those dishes you can add what ever you want to the pot. In our home you would ask mother what’s the name of this dish? She would smile and say eat it and name for baby. 😊

My mom was raised on a cattle ranch in Cherry County, Nebraska. Her mom died when my mom was 10. My mom and her 2 older sisters were responsible for feeding their dad, brothers, and the ranch hands lunch and supper, Add about 10 to 15 more men during haying season. Mom could make the best goulash in no time flat; serve with bread/butter and salad or vegetables and cold milk. Growing up in the city (of 22,000 LOL), if money was tight, she'd cook beef tongue after we were in bed, hide it in garage to cool, grind it up while we were at school, make goulash (or soup, spaghetti, whatever) and we never knew the difference! She was in her 80s when she finally told us kids her secret – Dad knew but none of us 5 kids ever caught on.

I made your German chocolate pound cake today and had enough batter to make 3 cakes with 3 small-size loaf pans! This way I can share with friends! This goulash looks so good and I’m going to make it this week! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful recipes with us! God bless you! πŸ’•
