In today’s video, Annie will take you through our big Aldi Grocery Hall this week. Prices continue to rise, so any time we see a good deal, we try to take …
Have seen others using freeze dryers for this reason. Would love to see what you do with one.
I'd love a recipe for dish and laundry soap ๐งผ
I don't know why everyone is so gaga over aldi. Their prices are not cheap, it's the same as the grocery store. At least in my state
Chinese tomato pulp used in most cheap kethchup n pasaata nowadays sold as Italian made
I would buy ketchup not can it. You can get it pretty cheap at the store. It makes more sense to buy paste.
In baking, any recipe that calls for vegetable oil can be switched out with shortening or pure lard.
Personally I use lard and warm it prior to mixing in.
I buy those mixed veggies and dehydrate. Perfectly easy and last so long and are so convenient.
Hi you talked about your tuna salad recipe can you share it again
Thanks for sharing!
I had such a hard time getting my stocking started, I felt like I was so late getting started that anything I did wouldn't be enough. I tried several things that different videos suggested but IDK why, I just couldn't get started. I finally just took $100 and went to Sam's and got 100# each rice, beans and flour, a couple large 3# shortening cans, 50# sugar, 25# salt, a large jar of baking powder and a large package of baking soda. That would probably be $200 now. And I slept well that night. After that I was able to get the "other" things, no problem. Everyone is different, for me, I needed something more to start with than a week's worth. If you haven't started, I hope this helps you.
Jealous! We do not have an Aldi here in Maine. Great haul!
Genial!! Thank you โคโค
For tomato paste, I dehydrate my tomatoes and any of the skins I would toss. Grind into powder. When I need paste just stir water and the powder til right consistency. Basically free and takes up less space!
Get a water filter and some seeds
I find it fascinating to see grocery/stocking up videos. Only two of us and I canโt imagine buying that much at one time! Small space for storage so I might have three months of food. When I shop I get 3-5 items for future use.
Hi I'm a new prepper wanted to hop on say hi and what a great haul!!
I just can't go back to commercial laundry detergent after making my own. It's so much cheaper, better and smells better too.
Acre Homestead on YouTube made and canned ketchup using organic sugar.
For tomato sauce and paste, I have decided to buy freeze dried powder instead and mix it according to what I need. Dehydrated would be good too. I will have some cans, but not going to can my own probably.
I would like to have while and chunky tomatoes canned though that I have not cooked down.
Easily over $1000 Australian
Mary's nest has a homemade ketchup๐
I've never had the best of luck at Aldi's; because of that, I don't shop at one. I go to Costco for somethings, the Amish store up north and Cub. I would love to store peanuts and nuts. I'm allergic to tree nuts so peanuts it is.
How would you get water to your house from the well if the electricity becomes unavailable?
Flavcity makes a great ketchup too.
Have you considered avocado oil instead unhealthy vegetable oil.

For tomato paste I just dehydrate my tomatoes and then rehydrate at a 2:1 ration. Makes perfect tomato paste. ๐
Aldi rules! And I so glad they carry organic products. I have around 300 cans of Aldi organic chicken noodle and tomato soups.
I grew up on ketchup sandwiches just because I liked them. My daughter will eat ketchup on her ketchup if that tells you anything ๐คฃ๐
Check out Living Traditions Homestead for her ketchup recipe, I have not tried it yet, my garden has been done for a while (5b), she did compare it to a brand name, just saying.
Maybe I missed it, but it will be helpful to know the prices of the items. I think I only heard the tomato paste price but not the other items. Thanks ๐๐ฝ
๐๐๐
Costco has organic tomato paste for about 50 cents a can or less. That's what I stock up on. I add one can per quart jar of home-canned tomatoes for pasta sauce or whatever else needs thickened.
Juice: I hardly buy it … but when I do, I buy it to make finger jello. My children loved it when the were younger, and now my grandchildren love it ๐
We go through butter super fast, too. Our cow is giving lots of cream right now, so I haven't had to buy any here recently. It's nice!!!
Avocado oil at Costco makes a nice substitute for anything calling for vegetable oil.
That's a great price for the higher quality tuna!! I'm already stocked up on the wild planet brand, but now I know to check Aldis when I need to restock ๐ Thanks! It seems the stuff I grew up eating was very poor quality and packed in oil. I think it makes a huge difference!! That stuff looks like cat food … the skipjack in water looks yummy.
I haven't seen a huge price increase yet, but I've noticed some.
I donโt consider you hoarding you have a big family which is terrific. I love your videos.
When asked what the sign of his presence Jesus said -Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.โ Mathew 24:3,7
So enjoy your channel:) Would caution you about canning butter. It just really isnโt safe unless you are making Ghee.
Totally feel ya! We are a family of 6.. I shop Doller General and Save a Lot every other week.. And spend about 300 every other week.. And I struggle to keep that budget. We grow a large garden and husband hunts.. Hoping to get animals soon to help. But I feel ya! Your doing great! Sending love from Michigan โค
Definitely a sticker shock, but glad you're able to do it.
Surely not compost?
I with you on the organic. My kids are odd balls they hate ketchup. My husband is the only one who really likes it . You got great preps. ๐
I wonder how people who are struggling feel when they see all this pile of everything?
