An easy way to make hard boiled eggs is to cover them with water and bring them to a hard boil, cover the pot then turn the stove off and just let them sit for 12 minutes. Drain. Then cover them with cold water. Crack and peel then use as desired! Greetings from your friend, Deborah Gnagey in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA .

Fantastic ideas Lizzy! Today we had a wonderful inexpensive dinner of Salad alongside Potato Croquettes (my hubby is the cook in the family). They are so yummy and if you have potatoes in the garden and some veg for a salad you're set without spending hardly any money. Whizz up some of your bread crumbs to coat those croquettes and with a bit of cheese mixed into the potato you're on your way. We used our Air Fryer for the croquettes and they turned out absolutely perfect! Filling, inexpensive and tasty too! Also a great way for those who may have some leftover mash. Thanks for all the great money saving idea vlogs, I watch all of them – MyMotherWit

I know its hard but please don't let this consume your whole day. You are a really good cook and are not afraid to substitute ingredients you do for cheap in your meals

Another lovely cheap dinner is instant noodles in broth, chopped ham and cucumbers topped with scrambled eggs – really quick and easy to prepare and delicious
Also try eating chicken legs, so cheap compared to other cuts of chicken and so much good meat on them xx

I’m a thrifty person and eat simple meals , i love unless and squeak with fried egg on top. Costs penny’s to make and put any veg you have in it .
Frittata is also quick and cheap to make and served with a salad . Jacket spud is filling and add any filling you like , homemade soup and a sandwich is another one i do , pick up some yellow sticker veg can go along way to . You are doing a great job meal planning You should be proud of your achievements x
