Hello from Houston, Alaska just to let you know your videos are great . One Alaskan to another. Have a great weekend.
You guys are so fun to watch. I cannot handle spicy food, but I am sure that pork was so good. Yes, I am a mild spice kind of person. Lol!
Hi Jessica, I so love this video about smoking the meat and prepping for winter. I would be very interested in your heating system with wood. Is the oven in the cellar for central heating all the rooms and heating the water boiler and the oven in the living room just for that part of the house? Could you please share it in video? Living in an old house we are heating with wood, what we absolutely love but have also the possibility to heat with infrared heaters. If you aren't a woodland ownder you have to buy the wood. Unfortunately, here in Switzerland there is partly a shortage of wood and also the possibility of power shortage this winter. Have a blessed weekend and hugs from Switzerland.
That looks amazing! Great job Aaron! We got my husband a smoker for his Father’s Day a couple of years ago and couldn’t be happier with the results. I also ordered him a bunch of the Meat Church seasonings and he loves those. We buy 1/4 of a grass raised beef from some friends of ours and it is superb smoked. You should try pizza on the smoker. It is so good! I have to say that being raised raising our own beef, it is hard to beat a perfect “fall aparty” (our families name for it) roast beef. Lol We have two briskets to smoke so we have some work ahead of us and want to make some jerky out of one of them. Your videos with all of the directions and explanations are so appreciated! Thank you both so much!
I love this time of year….getting things ready for winter. Cleaning up the yard, putting the garden to bed and all the other chores that need to get done. Tomorrow we are ticking off a few more things as next weekend our weather is changing. Anyways, great video as usual, the pulled pork….oh yum, I could almost smell it. Take care, see you next time 🇨🇦🌷
Aaron looks great!
When you were talking about bear claws I was thinking pastry’s. Lol buy that man bear claws
Looks so yummy. I think Aaron just gave a Christmas wish list start lol! Will have to try this on my next pork butt. Enjoyed the video you all!
That’s the clearest chicken coup
Yummmm…

Haha 🤭😆, "Jessica is about to loose her job", now we know why Aaron does not have those claws 😉. Enjoyed this video and thank you Aaron for the recipe, I wrote it out and going to share with my son also. God bless you two and your family, and Jessica you are right about the heating situation.
“O” what are you going to do about the Moose., Thanks For Sharing everyone keep staying get Aaron some Bear Claws, he Deserve some I guess 10-15-2022👍🏽👍🏽♥️
We’ve cooked it with the herdez avacaco salsa or just the salsa verde… Omggg delish. I also cheat and use it in my tamales when I just make a small batch with pulled pork. Yummy 😋
I'll take a couple. Yum yum
Hey Beautiful family.
That looks so good. Yummy.
No woodstove in our house. Bcuz my insurance on the house will be thru the roof. We do heat with an electric boiler furnace, which we need to replace. Ugh! Always worried about the power outages. But there's not much we can do about it. We don't have any extra money to put in something else.
Would love to have a woodstove tho. Grew up with one. Come in from shoveling or sliding to warm up next to the woodstove was ideal. Nothing better.
Question about your straw bales, how much do you pay for them in Alaska? Just bought some way smaller than yours for $10/bale. I think that's outrageous. Especially since just a couple years back we were paying $3 to 4/bale. We just can't win.
We had our first s… night before last. ( I don't like saying the 'S' word, it might hear me. Lol) the white stuff that falls from the sky. Lol. Of course it melted which I was happy about. I think it's too early. Lol.
Last year we didn't have it til after Halloween. We had the cold before but after that it seemed to get about 6" every time it fell, every 2 to 3 days so we didn't have to struggle too much. We only have a blower and had someone come by 3 times to plow and push back our banks. Otherwise we did all the blowing ourselves.
Banking the house up this winter. And have my dad come shovel off the roof bcuz I'm afraid of heights.
So last year we got over 8 ft total, according to the locals. We've only been here for 4 years. This will be our 5th winter here. Crazy it's been that long already.
Do you know how much you get there?
Loves sent from NE Minnesota.
Meatchuruch is at our local grocery stores in my tiny Minnesota town. One of the best meat seasonings. Also love Excalibur Seasoning as well! All are great. Especially the southwest mesquite rub and the Five Pepper Blend. I'm a seasoning junkie lol
Please do take information from Germany and Austria from YouTube with a grain of salt. I can buy wood, which is indeed more expensive than ever but it's available. It's just not German wood. Also Monday we'll have up to 78 °F so no need for any heating.
I for example have an oil heating and that is more expensive than gas and will not even get the help people heating with gas will get by the government and still I won't freeze
