So you're vegetarian and you decide that you want to eat at a steakhouse. No wonder they will not have vegan/vegetarian options cause it's like going to a pescatarian restaurant to order a steak.
I'm not a racist, but, NL is pretty damn funny lol
My issue with that first one is that when he said order doordash he specifically said he "let" her do it and I just don't like the implications that has. It should've been "We rarely do this because the fees are fucking ridiculous" but it was "I rarely let her do this" because he's the one who gets to decide
that gordon ramsay bit, oh my god xD
"Mmm this pizza is delicious, what's your secret?"
Yea it was baked in the presence of this really funny bald man
Your Manor, your rules
NL is the most relatable insane person I’ve ever not met.
NL: "This post is sad, I'm putting myself in their shoes and I'm sad now…"
Random reply: "This post is sad"
NL: "The fuck are you talking about no it's not!"
The egg has malfunctioned.
That restaurant is 100% the asshole. They lied to her, then didn't tell her that they'd charge hundreds of extra dollars until after the fact. Highly unethical in both instances
I'm just happy that "lord of the manor" reappeared
Food allergy person is absolutely an asshole. Not for most of the story, lying about an allergy for a self-imposed diet is kinda sus, but overall it's fine. It's the last sentence that makes them an asshole. Saying "this ignorant restaurant is getting what it deserves" or whatever makes them an asshole.
Edit: also feels a bit "city mouse is critical, demanding, and dismissive of the country".
Edit 2: The cremation emissions thing is insane, not just because it's such a minor thing it's not worth thinking about, but mostly because I have a feeling that running a furnace to heat a large tank of water for hours creates WAY more emissions than simply burning a body.
According to Wikipedia, it's been supported by environmental groups who say it's more efficient, but I really can't understand how heating ~200 gallons of water and flesh to 320F for 4-6 hours could possibly use less energy and create less emissions than just incinerating the body.
Person who is pretending to have a gluten allergy: don't pretend to have allergies
Engagement because I love this series and will never want it to end
life threatening but allergy has the same energy as let's gopoo
GOATed episode lmao, the cremation and Ted Bundy bits were 10/10
"I can only eat home cooked food" the audacity lol.
There's something just so satisfying hearing NL read these stories and pick them apart with logic and reason.
I think he says she only has two days off because those are the nonstandard days off. Like I wouldn't say I have 2 days off a week because I work mon-fri. If someone asked me how many days I have off a week I would say two, but I'd never describe myself having 2 days off a week, if that makes any sense.
The vegan was all good to me with the exception of ending the post saying they get what they deserve for their 'ignorance and inconsideration' especially when they went through so much effort to keep them safe from a nonexistent allergy. I feel it is a bit inconsiderate and stupid (because stupid = ignorance + prior insight right?) to be a vegan expecting food catered to vegans at a steak house.
Good on them for paying the extra cost, that was the proper action. Everything is cool imo with them other than the snarky attitude about the situation.
I think the vegan was the asshole because its an ethical or personal choice. In that case make your own arrangements if you must stick to it.
I would love if he had chat on the screed during these sections
Holy smokes, the only reason that chef should feel humiliated is because he runs such a mismanaged kitchen.
Two hours and the cleaning of the entire kitchen and appliances that aren't even being used all to serve a dish with a single product that you need to check the ingredient list.
Then the audacity to put that "cost" onto the customer (who they also lied to btw).
If they served something inventive and vegan then maybe I'd understand, but at it stands that is attrocious customer service.
nl golfclapping whenever someone pats themselves on the back without thinking about it never fails to make me laugh
Top ten worst Gordon Ramsay impressions on twitch
"It's not like I'm gonna make a habit of getting cremated" is one of the most bussin things NL has ever said
It is not anyone else's responsibility to provide food for your dietary choices. Most vegans know this. If you feel like they will not have vegan options, you eat before, or bring your own food. Sounds like they might be new to the vegan world.
Somethin about this video hit different
Somethin about this video hit different
We're not even a minute in and my man drops "…but some things are too personal even for Reddit". You can't do this man, I need a bit of a warmup period before dropping these sorts of bangers.
"as someone with food allergies… *proceeds to mention two food intolerances*"
It should 100% be called "Cream-ation"
That one comment that said "They probably don't have easy means to make a vegan meal"
Anyone ever hear about pasta? What about beans? Anyone? Maybe some fungi, like mushrooms or something? Anyone?
On the food allergy, as a vegetarian- I think slightly asshole. But it's the comment of "They got what they deserved" and the little snarky comments that make it full asshole and makes them the stereotypical " vegan" that people hate
My options are always: research their menu in advance. You get used to just eating plain rice or sad little plates of veggies, it's not a big deal. Most places have chips, but the oil can be a problem. If they have nothing you can have you just eat beforehand. When it comes to catering like this if you have specific requirements yes you should call beforehand because it's a lot easier for them to prep something for you without making mistakes than to do a last minute unexpected dish when they are trying to serve many tables.
Appreciated.
THE RUMORS OF REACT COURT'S AQUAMATION WERE GREATLY EXAGGERATED
first post got cursed by a witch with the one comment lmao
