    That is a lot of fat added, when salmon already has its own healthy fats. The only part I would try is pouring hot water to remove the skin. Then again searing it with the skin protects it from overcooking.

    That’s exactly how my Mom cooked it and why I grew up despising salmon! She’d let it sizzle while she taught piano lessons! Yuck! It wasn’t until I married a chef, who knew how to cook salmon that I learned to love it! And it wasn’t like that!
