OMG you solved my problem. I’ve had the Gem for years and hated the slow cooker. Almost threw it out. After my roast today was not done again after 2 hrs on high and 6 on low I finished it on 250 roast for another 45-60 min so it would be done. Then I googled my problem and watched your video. Excellent video. From now on Beef on high…thank you!

Thank you soooo much for this video! I've had the Aura Pro for a couple of years, and honestly haven't really gotten the hang of it; there were some recipes that just didn't work out right. However they would have if I'd had the information you shared here! <3 (Maybe it's just me, but I feel like InstantPot could've done a better job with the instructions?) Anyway, thank you very much for this valuable info! Liking and subscribing!

How do you recommend doing chili as far as low or high and amount of time? Also, how does the temp correlate to an old slow cooker? Maybe if I understood that I would get a better handle on what to set the aura pro to?
Is there a recipe book that has this information specific to the aura pro?

Hi, I use my slow cooker to cook a mean spagetthi bolognese sauce. I usually set a standard crock pot to high for like 30 minutes to get it boiling a bit, then switch to low and let cook for around 7 hours. How would I go about doing it with this slow cooker? High for 9 hours? I want to upgrade for the added size (6 qt crock pot to a 8 quart Aura pro) and to be able to do the occasional sous vide steak. ty!

I’m attempting to slow cook a stew using the Aura Pro and wondered if it was working. I changed to the stew function after about an hour and a half and that brought everything up to a boil. I’ve switched back to slow cook high. I’m hoping it will be ready by dinner time. Your information was helpful. Thanks.

I just got an Aura Pro and I’m using the slow cooker function today. I set it to a slow cook for 8 hours. About 2 hours into the cook it switched to 1 hour remaining, and after that hour the machine turned off. It only cooked for a total of 3 hours and I had to restart it. Any ideas why this happened?

I have a user (asking for someone on Facebook) who asked that if the machine somehow can shut off when programmed for slow cook at 8hrs. The machine shut off 3hrs in and had to be restarted. The food was boiling but machine lowered the time to an hour. The food was only partially cooked. Is there a reason for this ?

I think of the long heating period as "dry sous vide". People sous vide beef at 135F to 145F. Anyway, I cooked sirloin on high because I was in a rush. The top part of my Aura was warm to touch but not the bottom even though I had used the saute function to sear the meat. There was condensation on the lid within the first hour. By hour three, it was boiling on and off. I was worried because I don't like my meat to reach boiling point in a slow cooker. By hour four, the roast was done and fork tender. The carrots I poured on top at the start were soft but not mushy.

Wonder if you could just use the stew setting and choose your desired temp instead of dealing with the extended temp delay using the slow cook program?

Thanks so much for posting this video! I just received the Aura Pro and look forward to using it. Quick question – Do you think that adding +/–2 hrs time to a recipe at either high or low would solve the "warm up" period?

Thank you so much for making this video. Using our Aura Pro for the 1st time to cook a roast and very glad to know about how the slow cook low/high temperature operates so I could switch to the high setting soon enough and without concerns of over cooking the meet.
