I love my instant pot but I have to say that the seasonings does not penetrate the food as well as it would if you were cooking it in a pot on the stove. But the instant pot is definitely faster.

Good afternoon Chef Jeffrey! It doesnt have to be New Year's Day, nor luck or money for me to eat me a big bowl of black eye peas, Ham hock and corn bread. This meal I incorporate in my diet at least once a week. Maybe thats why I'm Blessed!! I exchange the luck with the word blessed!!!! Continue to keep on fixin them black eyed peas . Stir up the gifts!! ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ#justshowsomekindness2023

As kids we used to ask our mom to make black eyed peas every week! My dad took us. to a pea patch here in southern Cali so we could pick and shuck peas. We did the same with our children. A li'l country life in southern CA!! โค

I just made this. I used Dietz and Watson uncured jalapeno and cheddar kielbasa cuz I got a bunch on clearance yesterday. $0.99 for one pound packages, usually $5.99. I used a soup bean mix that has like 16 different types of beans, red onions and chicken base. Thanks Chef Jeffrey!! Now I'm gonna make cornbread which I have never done .
