I don’t know what you guys can eat in your house. However i love baked pasta sauce. Cherry tomato and colorful peppers with goat cheese or feta. Cover in salt and mild oil. Sit while it roasts and the pasta cooks. Blend and toss together. Also premade pesto and cold pasta with any veggies or cut up cheese is filling and delicious. Even if it’s just basil salt any nut and oil blended together. Man which mix stuffed in potatoes or a pepper is easy delicious and good for the fridge for another meal. Oatmeal can be sweet or savory and easy for older kids to help with. I don’t know if this will help but my mother has severe pancreatitis from a rare division that is technically a birth defect. She unfortunately also has severe mental and physical health problems and cannot function on her own. We try to help her when we can but she is hard. I wish she could give any tips for you but I think you are in a better place than she is. I do know we buy her healthy and low residue foods to help her body heal from her attacks. God bless hon from Iowa ❤

You asked for ideas on easy meals. Could you order a meal box like Factor? They are ready made meals you could just warm up? The other thought is to contact meals on wheels and see if they can deliver meals for the kids for a few weeks. Praying for healing for you both so you can have a pain free holiday.

Dear Katie, please know I say this in love and from the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I know the desperation that comes from chronic pain. I know desperately wanting to feel better and sometimes to just want to be able to function. There is nothing wrong with wanting healing and praying for the wisdom on how to heal our bodies. Sometimes pain isn't for us, sometimes it's to bring others to our Saviour. Sometimes it is for us, to draw us closer to Him. Our children see this, it could bring them to Christ or deepen their relationship with Him. Please be careful with New Age promoters. They will draw you away from God because they are teaching a counterfeit. Yes, stay hopeful but draw that hope from the Lord. I grow weary at times but I know that the sufferings in this world will be nothing compared to the glory of God in heaven. It will all be worth it if we just persevere with the Lord. Stay on the straight and narrow path dear sister and know that His grace is sufficient for you. Much love and prayers for you. ❤

I buy lots of organic sausage dogs or the Teton beef sausage at Costco and my kids eat thst a lot. Also getting a cast iron super hot and using plain sourdough starter as a pizza crust works so fast to make a healthy pizza at home! Farmhouse on Boone has the crust “recipe” in more details. My kids eat that pizza or hot dogs almost everyday it’s good quality so it’s good for them!

Do less ingredient overnight oats for now. Oats, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice and milk or yogurt. Ready made mashed potatoes from the store with Air fryer chicken. Cheese slices, summer sausage on crackers with already prepped carrots, celery and some fruit for lunch.

You can add frozen veggies to the meal kits to stretch. Another quick and easy freezer section meal is cheese ravioli or tortellini allot of time they have them on sale. Also Ibotta has offers on convenience foods so does fetch I have not used fetch only Ibotta for their offers and Walmart cash.

A really quick and cheap corn chowder i make is equal parts canned 🌽 corn, cream 🌽, then cubed potatoes either frozen or canned i use one can of potatoes for every two cans of corn. I used dehydrated onions but you can use fresh onions or both then in the slow cooker add the canned corn for your family i would do at least 4 of each do not drain the corn. I do drain the potatoes. I add salt and pepper you have to add pepper all the way through. At the end i add evaorated whole milk one for every 4 cans. I garnish with Turkey bacon bits if you have regular bacon you could cook your onions in its fat. I make broccoli cheese soup easy in the slow cooker to two pounds of frozen broccoli 🥦 i use the pieces and save the florets for later. I use dehydrated onions, dehydrated soup veggies, chicken broth to cover1/4-1/2 teaspoon, white pepper, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, I use knorr bouillon for salt, 1 teaspoon garlic 🧄 powder, 1/2 🧅 powder. After it has slow cooked 4-6 hours on low. i take my hamburger masher and mash them. i add two pounds of florets or pieces. After they are warmed through I add two -three cans of evaporated milk and Cabot Seriously sharp white cheddar 🧀 I live in Vermont but any white sharp or any sharp cheddar cheese.

For some reason I can’t get Maccoroni and cheese off of my mind but that could be a good filling meal for the kids! I saw that we will see storages on pasta next year so if you can plan ahead and get some from Azure I would also maybe you could get some cheese for lots of Mac & cheese! Just a thought
