Thank you for listing the ingredients and the recipe on the same page!. I'm subscribing because you and maybe 2 others take the extra time to do it all at once instead of me having to go find their BLOG or recipe page. I quit even watching videos that don't put the recipe on the page…so i will be watching you much more…thank you again!

Thanks for your video. I just made my first pot of steel cut oats and I thought I would try it in and my Ekovanna insert pan. I wanted to simplify clean up so I thought Iโ€™d give it a try. I followed your instructions and when I opened the instant pot there was a lot of water. They didnโ€™t seem to be fully cooked so I did another five minutes and they came out great. I also used chopped dates when I cooked mine for a little different flavoring. In the end, my pressure cook time was ten minutes. โ€” The water in the bottom of my liner and then added water in my Ekovanna for the ingredients may have caused less evaporation. Next time Iโ€™ll try cooking in the liner. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Thank you so much for showing this I was so confused on how to use this thing but the fact that we have the same model helps tremendously! I also got mine from Walmart for half price so I had to get it! Iโ€™m trying to eat a healthier oat so the fact that I donโ€™t have to take 30 minutes to make it saves my life

I have been cooking steel cut for a few years using only 3 cups of water to 1 cut of oats, dried fruit , cinn.. I have never had the browning on the bottom. I cook for 11 min. After natural release, I add milk when I serve. Has always been creamy and delicious . Like you said, many ways to cook them.๐Ÿ˜„

You might want to try the pot-in-pot method. I find it easier to store leftovers right in the 7 cup Pyrex bowl which is set on trivet after adding 1 cup water to the IP. Plus you won't get any scorching.

I just got my Instant Pot a week ago and my daily Steel Cut Oatmeal is now a breeze… love it. I use Pot-in-pot technique with a smaller stainless bowl on top of a trivet and 1 1/2 cups of water in the bottom of the IP to make the steam. I cover the small bowl loosely with tin foil to keep the IP steam out. It works great. Thanks for the tip on the milk & syrup & vanilla. This morning I put a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter in mine (2/3 cup of the SC oats)… I eat it right out of the smaller bowl … Pyrex would probably work ok too ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
