Today we once again do things a little different. We start our adventure in Terlingua Texas and then we Overland to Big Bend National Park to experience the …
You missed the Chisos Basin – the most beautiful and slightly cooler area of Big Bend National Park.
Beautiful video! I appreciate that I could enjoy seeing BBNP without enduring the heat like you all had to 🙂
I just got back from Big Bend loved it.
Crazy amazing to think how much thw terrain in that area has changed over the eons. Beautiful landscape at every stage along I am sure. Thanks for taking us along. What was that amazing dessert in the beginning? ❤ -Aimee
Muchas gracias.

Nice videos and good sports to pass your time 👍. You do have a nice pet with u don't show the affection for it in your video we will like to see both of you caring you pet along with your traveling video shoot.
How do you keep the pup cool in 104 degrees while you hike?
This was another great video. Loved when you went on the hike and camped out and made another Instant Pot meal. That looked like a nice hike you took. Beautiful scenery. The restaurant to you went food looked good. Embers face when you asked her about the storm. That was too cute. Can’t wait until I see next weeks video. Have a great week. See you soon! 🤗
Awesome video yall!! I'm hoping we can make it out to Big Bend sometime next year if all goes well.
That is a National Park that we didn't get to see on our 2 big trips to the West. We cut thru Texas twice but always in a diagonal fashion. Closest we ever got was about 300 miles away in New Mexico. The fossils looked very interesting. Ember must have had to spend most of her time in the van? Being a NP and so hot it was probably not to dog friendly. I can't believe you are headed back to Alaska so soon with much to visit in the lower 48 but understand that Alaska is home. Safe travels.
Thanks for sharing a wonderful adventure
I’m so glad you made it to Padre Island (minus hurricane Nicholas) and Big Bend while you were in Texas! Yeeehaaa! Your Revel is so reliable when off the grid to keep all three of you safe. So now we get to see you head back to Alaska. I can’t wait for your kind of winter. Your San Antonio fan
What a wonderful exploration of a great National Park. The quiet Parks are the best. Although I've spent a lot of time in Utah, New Mexico and Arizona, the one time we went to Big Bend in the '80s my friend became ill and we had to turn back. So this was wonderful to see what you explored and captured on video. Another of my favorite quiet National Parks is Great Basin Nat'l Park in Nevada if you ever return to the area.
yes i spent some time in a little town named canadian . wonderful people! i just didnt care for the heat.
Thanks for taking us along to the National Park and dinner looked amazing 👍
Very nice video, these roads and paths through desert, were already so bad 25 years ago. Jim, the beautiful roll roast, so to destroy, will not happen in Germany. I hope it has tasted you. Nice days still in hot Texas.
Greetings from Frankfurt
great video stay safe on your trip back home
that was awesome folks! What a beautiful place? Thanks guys!
If you are still in West Texas, you should check out Palo Duro Canyon, near Canyon Texas. It’s called the Grand Canyon of Texas and is the second largest canyon in the USA (second only to the Grand Canyon in Arizona) and the Texas Outdoor Musical is performed in the outside pioneer amphitheater.
I hate to say it, but you guys missed some of the more spectacular and interesting things to see in BBNP. Santa Elena canyon (sometimes you have to cross the water) is simply amazing once you get up the stairs and back in there a bit. The Mariscal Mine which you were near on the River Road is very cool also. And, of course, the view from the top of the Chisos rim is nothing short of spectacular. Hope you make it back!
Nice guys I’ve done Texas I may have to revisit it after your videos
LOVED THIS VIDEO! I must see these places. Hopefully, leaving to see these deserts soon if Biden let’s us into the U.S. Question: Who was the Santa-like statue depicted in time-slot 2:46? Please, don’t let me die wondering… Anyway, loved your screenshots, ambiance & visuals. So grateful 💕 Cheers!
