    My thoughts on the hot sauce… Why salt? I feel like the hot sauce with watermelon would do better with a pinch of sugar.
    But also, not hot sauce. Hot sauces have garlic and vinegar and other nonsense. I'm thinking more of a pepper mash, without the extras.
    Give me a habanero or jalapeño mash with a pinch of raw sugar on that melon.

    Dude, there is one creamy combo you missed out on and should really check out.
    Watermelon with tahini (toasted sesame paste).

    The fatty creaminess and the slight bitterness from the tahini with the sweetness of a good watermelon creates almost a chocolate sensation, but it's sesame!

    It's a great "wierd combo" that I'm sure can be refined further, I just never can quite do it because my slices keep disappearing before I get the chance 😉

    I'm going to have to try that with my blue cheese, because I love blue cheese with blueberries. I've heard of people liking blue cheese with apples. I've seen recipes with pears, so why not watermelon 🍉😀

    I once served appetizers at a party that was chunks of watermelon with figs (or dates when I ran out of figs) wrapped in prosciutto and topped with a mint leaf (and some with a basil leaf) on a toothpick meant to be eaten as a single bite. Surprisingly, it was one of the favorites at that party. Definitely have to try the “French toast watermelon,” everything about that sounds so deliciously wrong that I know it’s going to be amazing!
