Point 7 does that mean pls that getting "up to pressure" can be seen as part of the cooking time? cause we've just got the duo and the whole chicken plus other stuff all overcooked.
How to make ypugart
Hi! I’m new to your channel, and really appreciate you and your teaching videos. My daughter and I are both new to the Instant Pot cooking style.
I just sent her this video. I was texting her about it, and asked if she wanted me to share the link. She promptly replied “YES!” I subscribed, too. I’ve been watching your channel for a while, and I think you’re doing a terrific job!
Thanks for the info 😊.. I am thinking about buying one.. is it good for different types of pasta..
May I add my mistake? Prior to getting my IP I made yogurt by heating my milk on a gas stove. When I got my IP my first attempt at making yogurt was to heat the milk in the IP using the sautee function. Not realizing that the IP was going to heat much faster than my gas stove I sit down to watch TV. The milk boiled over and ran down into the electrical components. I cleaned as much as I could but the internals in the base still have burned milk on them. My IP still works but every time I use it I have to endure the stench of burned milk.
I have searched and searched for steel cut oats to purchase. I can only find groats. Can I purchase these instead? I know they are different. Not certain if they are quick oats. If you have a product you buy, could you please send me the link?
Please advice why my instant pot nova did not make a pressure sound when it pressurised mine is brand new
did a stew yesterday with dried parsley and found it all around the lid and the steam evacuation never again will add the parsley at the end.
I am learning, thx.
I cook chicken breast in my pot, however the chicken was to large, and the grave was so thick. Have you take the o'ring off please show how to put it back on. Thank Sandy
Thanks for the tips. I have an instant pot, but to date still have not used it. Sounds like I really have to be super caregul. I have tomorrow's dinner already in the crockpot!
These tips are great. New to IP so really appreciate.
Hi! Kristin from six.sisterd recommended your channel. I am a cancer survivor (colon) I will be praying!!!
😍 Thank you. I've made a few of these mistakes already.
I always enjoy your videos, and you are always delightful. I'm sure you worked hard to tell us all this, but I just can't bring myself to make any of these mistakes. Sorry. But I am looking forward to your next one.
I can understand people making those mistakes and I do it myself when cooking certain foods which have to be pressure cooked for a longer time.
Thanks for this information. I’m sure the sealing ring one is something that has happened to me and I didn’t know what caused the problem. Thanks again, appreciate all the tips and tricks.
Yeshhh yawn get to what your doing !!!
Wow! That last one surprised me. I would not think to Decrease cooking time with doubling a recipe, that goes against what one would normally think. Thank you so much for explaining this!
Good info! Thanks
I'm impressed with the quality of your YouTube video's audio. So clear. I think I see a remote microphone! Thank you! (Poor audio is one of my pet peeves; i.e. background noise, etc.) Oh–and thank you for the helpful tips.
Great recipes tips Karen! Thank you and have a great Memorial Day weekend!
So how do you cook 1 cup of steel cut oats in the Instant Pot? How do you know how much water to put in the bottom of the Instant Pot and how much in the bowl/pot the oats are in?
I like steel cut oats and try to do PIP for all grains and rice. But there are not enough recipes for PIP.
Have you ever made a 2 gal batch of yogurt? I have a 10 qt go wise pressure cooker.
Another mistake: not making sure that the vent is on seal
Karen, I really appreciate your recipes, explanations, and all the content you produce here. Are you here only for 365 days? I'd hate to see you leave; I only just found you a relatively short time ago, and would like to keep you coming back like you do now. Thanks for all your work and low-key instructions! : )
One major point I took away was the last one. Sometimes a pressure cooker isn't always the answer. Larger quantities of cube potatoes and chicken will probably take less time on a stove.
Thank you for sharing your tips and insights As a new person to Instant Pot club , I am learning it will take a little to learn the IP I am enjoying my new IP I am going slowly into this new adventure
I love my insta pot makes cooking easier
I really appreciate your “What to-do and what not to-do” videos. I’m fairly new to using an IP and your videos have avoided so many mistakes for me. Thank you Karen!
