Hey guys, just to be clear the reason why Brooke blurred out my shirt is because this is a family channel and the quote on it is more along the lines of adult humor so, out of respect for all of you we decided to blur it. The shirt itself isn't a military shirt persay, it has a large caliber bullet on it holding a sign.

Usually when someone does one of these videos I think of what else they could have done. This is the first time I have no suggestions. I love that you made different meals instead of having the same thing. You are so creative! Thank you so much.

I love (and appreciate) that you add the cost of what would be charged if a main ingredient were purchased in the quantity needed. I've watched and now avoid some youtube channels who don't do this instead it's "I buy my *whatever* in bulk and it costs this" which would change budget cosiderably. Or worse not add at all.

💙 you always do such a awesome job with your budget challenges, all yalls food looked super delicious and you are so right fed is the best, always just got to do the best you can with what you have. One thing I have learned over the past few years is that there are literally so many different diets, some consume only meat, some only plants, some mostly carbs, some only chicken nuggets, there's so many it's unreal and 2 things I've noticed that are pretty common with all the diets I've seen 1. The person sharing their diet is rather happy with their diet, 2 there's plenty of people with their opinion saying something is missing.

I just wanted to say…I came across your channel by luck and I love it. I lost my Mom to Cancer last December and my Dad went shortly after in March. I can tell you have such a big heart and I find you silly and beautiful. Thank you for your work in trying to help families save and stretch. Happy holidays to you and yours 🙂

You ate a genius creating these delicious meals on such a limited budget and actually showing how to cook them. Any newly wed needs to subscribe to your channel. I need it also even though I'm 73 but with limited resources. You always make my day!

I make it with cream mushroom or homemade white sauce, but I add French string beans. To my tatter tot casserole. Garlic and pepper. Chedder on top and bake it 35 minutes. I leave the bay leaf in and tell who ever gets it that it brings good luck to them. Hahaha!

I actually make a recipe very similar to that pineapple chicken you made, I use pork steaks. And marinate them in the pineapple mixture then grill. And I also do it with sliced up chicken breasts and marinate thicken the marinade and cook it of course, lol. and either put over rice or wrap in tortillas. Yours looks great!

One of my favorite childhood meals my grandmama made was macaroni and milk. Boil macaroni and drain. In the sauce pan add a small pat of butter add macaroni, top with some milk like a soup. She added salt , pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. It is so delicious and yet sounds so gross. It was cheap and filled our bellies. I served this to my kiddos and as adults still request it.

Brooke, you my darling girl, are 💯 ahhhmazing! There is no way on Gods green earth I could have come up with that many ideas to feed 5 people with the options you had! Congratulations on how bloody awesome you are 😘
Btw you’ve taught this older lady a genius hack….to cut up a small amount of frozen veggies to pop in a soup & it makes it look like there’s a plethora of them in there. Thank you Brooke for the wonderful things you teach us all so that our bellies are full….food is expensive everywhere (I’m in Australia 🇦🇺) & what you did with a handful of items, blew me away. Bless you & your gorgeous family xo

Just wanted to let you know, you can make corn fritters out of pancake mix. Also, if you cook your rice the day before and let it chill in frig overnight, your fried rice will not be soupy. The potato tot casserole, …beef mixture could have been split into and turned into beef stroganoff over egg noodles. Also, you can make “sopping “ biscuits without any crisp or butter. They hold up well to gravy. Could have taken bones from chicken and made a gumbo and sausage gumbo to use rest of rice up. I think peas & carrots might have been better option instead broccoli mix. That way everyone would have eaten meals, or get onion and pepper mix. Could have made fried chicken on a biscuit, or fried chicken on a waffle drizzled with syrup. Just some more ideas.😊

You always do so good at stretching the food to meet your needs. I love the way you cook, it's a lot like I grew up. I can't imagine NOT being frugal. It's a way of life for us. ❤

Flour, potatoes, rice… these can be stretched & made into so many dishes. Rice porridge is my fav. 1c rice to 8c water, which feeds 4. Thanks for this video!

Great video Brooke! I laughed so hard when you made the cinnamon rolls and said you might need to eat it with a fork…Or a spoon…Your humor and personality remind me so much of my oldest daughter. You absolutely know how to make that food stretch and I think that is awesome! I only cook for two, and a lot of times just one (myself) if my husband is working out of town. That's a challenge in itself, but I've got it down pretty good where there's no food waste. Thanks for all your wonderful videos! Be blessed!

I don't know if this is a budget meal but I make chicken and pineapple chunks with red and green peppers and onions and serve it over rice. If the chicken is on the bones I boil it first before I try to chunk it up. Chicken breast or tenders is better for cutting. Since I am single I always use some of that pineapple with cottage cheese.
