Dr. Mindy I am now in menopause at 52. Can I continue using my bioidentical creams and take my oral progesterone at night while doing a 36 hour fast? I have been fasting for years but I am now holding weight in my middle and the only thing I can think of is insulin resistance. I eat all organic and no gluten. I am about to do the 36 hour fast and am not sure if that is allowed because some supplements can mess the fasting up. Thanks so much for your help!

Quick question. I have a lot of belly fat. I’ve heard it’s due to my PCOs/hormones or high cortisol. I’ve heard fasting can stress the body more so would fasting not be good for me if my cortisol is high?

How can rice help blood sugar. Makes my blood sugar rise, fast. If you are carnivore you don't need fiber to be regular, I don't get it. This contradicts dr ken berry's advise.

Just to let you know I am a male and you can count me in on your list of fasting. I do alot of mid section exercises not to burn fat from my mid section, but I do them when ever I get hungry. The hunger pains stop immediately and the midsection tightnes last a long to remind what I am fasting. I'm 6' 1" weighing at 180 My blood pressure at last doctor vist a couple of weeks ago was 110/84. I'm not over weight and I don't have diabetes. I find fasting to be satisfying giving me extreme energy and clear mind. Keep moving forward doctor!

Great info but now in a time of massive inflation and people loosing jobs, I would like more affordable alternatives to these foods. Most of them are expensive in the best of times, expecially if they are organic, but right now it's crazy what good food costs.

Be careful, the Brazil nuts have phytic acid that will chelate the zinc from the pumpkin seeds in your salad so soak the Brazil nuts for 24 hours to eliminate the phytic acid
