Oh man, I think I’ve been poisoning myself and my family. I thought you couldn’t use frozen meat if it was thawed and throw it in a freezer meal to freeze again—-BUT! If the meat was still rock frozen you could add sauce/whatever and put it in a bag to freeze. I feel so dumb and like I’ve let my family down

The Teriyaki bowls look great. We got a lot of pork roast that was on sale for 89 cents a lb so I'm going to use that. Thanks for the idea's 😊❤ Tip for you , I discovered that you can write on top of the container with your sharpie and it wipes off easily with the magic eraser from the Dollar Tree 😊

I can't wait to try the asian meal and the burritos . I have never made my own refried beans but aI have an instant pot so I would love to try . I do meal prep my lunches it helps me stay on track with my nutrition plan. I also like to have some in the freezer because I have a chronic illness and sometimes I need that extra help for my meals.

I thought you could refreeze once it's been cooked. What about burritos? Are you like zapping in microwave right outta freezer? I think if I did the sandwiches for hubby he could just pull straight outta freezer and be fine once he's ready to eat lunch at work.

I just wanted to say that I've been watching your channel for almost a year now. You as a normal mom like myself, inspire me to want to be more creative with the meals I feed my family. As well as try and save as much money as possible while doing it. Just wanted to say thank you for that. 💕

I am amazed you don’t have more subbies! This channel ROCKS! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 I think you’re the only one I watch who does serving sizes and portion control for servings! Makes total sense as it’s economical and “better for the body”!

Jaime you can buy at DT snack size zip lock baggies. That’s perfect for small size food items like you mini burritos. The bags are shorter in size than the regular sandwich size. Very convenient to freeze. These bags are also at Walmart. Even the
no name brands work too. Cheers 🇨🇦. Helen

    Hi Jaime.
I only find that if you add vegetables like lettuce ,tomato or cucumbers to a sandwich which causes the bread to be soggy. Adding the condiments of mustard and mayo does not cause the sandwich or bun to be soggy and you can freeze it with no problem. Cheers. 🇨🇦

Yes, you can refreeze defrosted meat after cooking.

    Refreezing meat and fish

Never refreeze raw meat (including poultry) or fish that has been defrosted.

You can cook frozen meat and fish once defrosted, and then refreeze them.

You can refreeze cooked meat and fish once, as long as they have been cooled before going into the freezer. If in doubt, do not refreeze.

Frozen raw foods can be defrosted once and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before they need to be cooked or thrown away.

To reduce wastage, divide the meal into portions before freezing and then just defrost what you need.

This was great. I loved the baby burritos. Just so you know, you can absolutely freeze meat that was previously frozen if it's cooked. It's not generally recommended to refreeze raw meat that was frozen and thawed, but cooked meat is a different story. I use frozen ground beef to make casseroles all the time and then I freeze the casseroles containing the now cooked meat. No problem. Maybe you could combine your DT and freezer series and do freezer meals from DT! That would be interesting to see. 😀
