All the information on the size is important but it's just me I'm single my kids are grown and married with children and I am a total grandmother but I do cook too and usually for myself so I got a 2 quart cooks the hand book is kind of on the thin side there are recipes but I was wondering too about the liners and what you can use I have lots of questions about when you use water to spray or oil, so many questions.

I am in the UK, and I have an Actifry, dual oven cooker, 1400W, with a stirring handle for the bottom oven, so for example, you don't have to shake fries. Its shape, being circular, means it holds a little less than I like, but its "AI" is excellent. It often just brings up the right temperature and time for most items, where other air fryers you have to "fiddle" the temperature and cooking time!

I put a cup or two of water with a couple drops of dish liquid, put it on 400°, for 5 to 10 minutes. Let sit to cool dump out and rinse and wipe dry. No scrubbing required.

"They really don't take up too much room on the counter." Gosh, it looks like your kitchen is as big as my whole house! That Instant Vortex 9-quart pot is darn near AS BIG AS MY WHOLE KITCHEN!! Every little inch of my tiny little "galley kitchen" is absolutely, utterly PRECIOUS. Sorry, but I'm on the opposite planet from Kathy — a single guy, and I've used a broad range of air fryers. But one thing has ALWAYS been true: No, I CAN'T "always just put it away." I live in what is perhaps the perfect definition of "a cottage" — a little, 75-year-old one-bedroom house. This place still has its original metal kitchen cabinets, and one thing those don't have is any shelf or cabinet that is "tall." Think of any "cereal box," and that's WAY too tall for any cabinet in my kitchen. I might be able to get a small air fryer in a cabinet — if I laid it down on its side.

At any rate, I would like to speak up for folks who aren't feeding a whole family, and/or don't have room for the biggest air fryer known to all mankind. And while I respect Cosori, I'm just not interested in that "internal basket" — it's just one more thing to wash, one more thing I don't have room to deal with, and so on. I do have a Cosori fryer, but I've waited for the 4-quart Lite one, with its rather "normal" pot and the crisper tray down at the bottom.

And while that worked for me, recently I noticed the Cosori 2.1-quart "Mini" fryer, so I decided to get one. And I'm quite happy with it. And I'm far more likely to use an air fryer if I don't wind up with an entire kitchen full of huge, enormous air fryer parts that I'm trying to wash and dry, taking up my entire kitchen space. The little 2.1-quart Mini fryer is "just right" for my needs. The 2.1-quart Mini has a few less controls than the bigger ones, but the controls it has work well, and everything works easily and reliably. I've tried some other "small" air fryers, and most of those were like "cheap toys" that either didn't work very well, or just plain didn't work hardly at all — like how the pot in one utterly wouldn't fit into the fryer without fighting with it. And so on.

So, I'm happy with either the Cosori 4-quart Lite fryer or the Cosori 2.1-quart Mini fryer — they do a fine job for one person, to say the least. Both are built with quality, and you can change the presets to meet your needs. And gosh golly, check out the "serving sizes" for some of the things you cook — like frozen french fries. Every bag I've seen shows a serving size of 3 ounces. Go put 3 ounces of fries in any air fryer you've got — that won't even cover half of the bottom of your fryer pot. I've started to weigh things like that, and I usually go up to 5 whole ounces of fries — which fits just fine in the little 2.1-quart mini fryer. It's plenty big enough for my needs, and it doesn't fill up my whole kitchen.

And finally, the 2.1-quart Mini is ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE in one way — it's the quietest air fryer I think you could ever find. It's truly hard to hear if it's actually cooking or not. If you want a quiet air fryer, and you don't need a football-team-sized fryer, you might give that a shot.

Hello there, I got last week the Princess steam Aerofryer 6.5L, for 9 person. You need quite some space for this sucker 😊. Have you heard about this AF, you maybe have test it? If you do what do you think about it, your thoughts? I can fill you in with one thing I don’t like and in the manual it says that when your done cooking you must run the cool down program. It doesn’t show you literary anywhere how. The first Princess I bought got overheated, the touchscreen got super super hot during and after cooking so I went back to the store and I got a new one. Maby a got a factory bad one so I hope this one don’t have issues with overheating 😊.

So what I have discovered using an Air Fryer after using an Halogen Air Fryer… An Halogen Air Fryer cooks food in half the time of an Air Fryer… a Halogen Air Fryer is super fast. So I think a Halogen is better and I will be getting a second one… as I got a spare space for a second one lol… The Halogen oven fryer cooks everything I need all on just 180 heat,,, but the AIR FRYER I think needs 200 heat to do the same job as a Halogen… THE HALOGEN IS JUST A BETTER PRODUCT !!,,, after trying them both lol

I have 3 Cosories and I love all of them but my Dual Blaze is my favorite of all the air fryers I've ever used. I have zero issues with it. I have never had the grate in the bottom of it fall out. The fact that I don't have to shake the food or remember to do one thing or another is absolutely fantastic for me. I don't think there is any way I could be happier than I am with the Dual Blaze. Well, …maybe, if it was 8 or 9 quart would be better; but, I am still very happy like it is.

Hi Cathy, I have the Instant Vortex Plus and am learning to use it. Online recipes say to cook a 6oz ground round burger (15% fat) at 400 for 11 minutes. When I do it, I get a burger that is beautiful on the outside and raw inside. If I keep adding time, it ends up often over cooked. Would you suggest a lower temp and a longer time? I’m trying for a perfectly even cooked burger. Please help 😊. Thanks!

Hi Cathy, bought this one, COSORI Air Fryer 5Qt(4.7L), 9-In-1 Less Oil Airfryer Oven, UP to 450℉, @ New Years time cuz I wanted some a bit larger than my 3.7 Cosori and love it. What you said about size is here, it is less than 1/2" than the 5.8 Cosori sent on the recall and takes less space cuz has no big basket, has a grill plate and I like it better!!! Thanks Cathy

I purchased my "egg shaped" Cook's Essentials Air Fryer in September 2018. Cooking for one is super fast, easy and healthy! In fact, I thank my air fryer for helping me lose 85 pounds! The only feature of ANY air fryer is that super obnoxious "beep" – the high pitch is excruciating to my ears. BUT – – I watch the time on my air fryer and quickly pull the basket before the beep starts. Currently I am in the market to purchase a new air fryer and am grateful for this wonderful comparison video!! The Cosori Dual Blaze might be my next purchase – but I'm still searching for either an AF with either a ceramic or stainless steel inside/basket. Thank you for ALL your interesting, informative and FUN videos!! 🙂

I counteract the preheat function by reducing the cooking time. For example: an open toasted bagel, I set it to cook for 1 minute, so it’s actually mostly toasting during the preheat function. But agreed, it’s annoying. Thx for your videos👍🏻

Hi Cathy, I have Cosori Pro 5.8 I loved it at first but unfortunately the handle fell off. It was still under warranty so Cosori sent me new basket, after 3 months the handle has fallen off the replacement 😢. I don’t wash the basket in dishwasher, I always hand wash the basket. I am researching Air fryer’s now …. So sad the Cosori didn’t work out for me.😢

    Hi Cathy,
I know this is a late comment but the air fryer that I use all the time is the Ninja Dual Zone Air Fryer. I've used it for nearly 2 and a half years and haven't even turned on my oven 😁 I was wondering if you could please do a review on the Ninja Dual Zone Air Fryer for those who are looking for a different type of air fryer that isn't the Instant one?
    Hope you are well 😊

Hey Kathy. Really enjoy your videos and learned a lot about air fryers. Would you recommend the (a) the Instant Vortex Plus 6-Quart ClearCook to see the food or (b) the Cosori Pro III Dual Blaze to eliminate shaking or flipping the food?

Hi Kathy. I really, really do not like the oven style air fryers either for the exact same reasons you mentioned. I just ordered the "COSORI Air Fryer Pro LE 5-Qt, for Quick and Easy Meals, UP to 450℉, Quiet Operation, 85% Oil less, 130+ Exclusive Recipes, 9 Customisable Functions in 1, Compact, Dishwasher Safe, Grey." It will be my first air fryer. I hope I made the right choice. There are so many to choose from!!!

At first, I almost ordered a Dash compact model as I live alone. Then, I heard you mention in one of your videos to buy a bit higher end model so that the teflon does not start peeling off in a matter of six months. At that point, I started looking at Ninja and Cosori. The reason I chose the Cosori was the square basket. I think it will end up being a better cooking surface. I am very worried about keeping any of them truly squeaky clean, though. I worry oil and grease will get into the element above the cooking area and be impossible to fully clean. Please tell me I am wrong!!

ETA: I really like my Cosori 5 qt, but the more I use it, the more I think I could have done with a larger size. I am now seriously considering ordering the Dual Blaze to have for meats and to keep the 5 qt for veggies or other items. Hoping the price on the Dual Blaze will drop significantly for Prime Day in July, 2023.

I had the Cosori model that was recalled (replaced by Cosori). It cooked fine but the little screws that attached the handle to the basket loosened constantly and had to be retightened frequently. Very annoying little design flaw.

Hi Cathy , I received an Salter Air fryer dual pro 4.7 litre for Christmas as a gift.
I absolutely love it, I cook most things in it, the only thing that I now cook in the oven is pizza, simply because of the size of pizza.
I have cooked a whole chicken, lamb chops , sausage, chicken breast, thighs wings, bacon, full English fry up . Oven frozen chips come out amazingly, in regular over they are either over cooked, burnt or they are hard undercooked in the middle

We have a Ninja Duo 6 qt. We love it. We love having two drawers. It is a good size for us as two people living in a small space. Sometimes it would be nice to have one bigger drawer to bake something like a lasagne. Still, we could make two individual lasagnes in smaller pans.

Brand new air fryer owner….it came yesterday. I bought the Instant 4 quart stainless air fryer. I ran it for the prescribed 18 minutes with no food in it….really stunk…smelled like hot plastic. I let it cool and cooked onion rings in it…..still stinks….does not smoke just stinks. Tried a baked potato in it tonight…..still stinks….at this point I am not sure the stink will ever dissipate. HELP…..anyone have this issue? Not too sure I am going to keep it. I bought the 4 quart because I usually cook for one, sometimes 2. ADVICE??? Yes, I did wash it completely before running it at all.

Nice comparison of the air fryers! My favorite is the Ninja Max XL. My experience is the round basket air fryers cook the food more evenly when compared to the square baskets.

I'm waiting for my replacement Cosori but I'm considering getting a cosori 2 for the RV.
I loved the ease of cleaning my other Cosori had with the inner basket that just drops out, but I wonder if the second element in the dual is kind of better because you might not have to flip your food? If you were to choose between a cosori 2 and a cosori 3 dual which would you choose and why? Is the Cosori dual that much harder to clean? I mean is the whole basket immersible? If so that might sell me on that.
I was thinking the Instant vortex might just hold a 9×12 baking dish that I might be able to bake a cake or cornbread in, or even make scalloped potatoes😁 That would probably most definitely be too big for the limited counter space in the RV though.

My air fryer used is walk in the kitchen. Turn on the air fryer to preheat and then when it says add food goes 400° starting at 20 minutes. So by the time I mess around and make a cuppa coffee, read the cats, all the little stuff and decide what it’s gonna go in the air fryer. Mine is preheated. You can always add🎉 time or delete time. So if they’re a little tips and tricks, you can do to make it so simple. It’s not rocket science, but it’s also not launching a rocket into space. Somewhere in between the two ha ha.
